get into the total war games.
start with medieval 2 if you're not sure or even rome total war the first one. they're fairly cheap and if you like them you'll like the newer ones.
plus you can still find online matches to play even in rome and medieval

and if you wanted to jump into one of the newer ones i would suggest rome 2 as atilla is broken and the war hammer ones are weird if you've never played
