TOPIC: should zarp change their racism rule?

No actual reason for anyone to be using these words be it online or in person, there are enough words in the English language that you don't need to resort to offensive words, no matter the context. Because people have become desensitized to certain words doesn't mean they should be allowed to be said in a community in which we welcome all types of people, these people may not have as much exposure to certain words and still be shocked when they are used.

I personally think in general there should be no banned words or no racism rules or anything like that

mainly for the cometic sense and the problems while enforcing the rule

Context obviously matters but I think the idiots that say Nigeria and think they are funny should get like a month ban.

Yeah this gives little alternative. Maybe suggest different solutions!

Why should the racism rule be changed? Racism is a bad thing and people shouldn't just call people words because they think its "funny". They call people the n word for example and they get banned, then they make an appeal and say they're sorry but they'll just go ahead and say it again 1hour after they get banned.

Though I don't care if someone said something racist to me, it should be zero tolerance here. Communities that allow racism with or without context just kinda shows a bad image IMO and I certainly don't want to hear some kid like Jake the dog scream the nword.

My biggest issue personally is that staff rarely take action is multiple forms of discrimination and almost always only focuses on racism and actively ignores stuff like ageism, ableism, and homophobia until someone points it in their face effectively making action mandatory

My point being that all my points were subjective to my own personal experiences and thus an outside source cannot prove me wrong. I am glad that you have differing experience from mine.

And here is an example scenario that I experienced couple days ago

There was a user with a gang that had 2 slurs as its name and no one did anything for like 40 minutes then I started talking about it with an admin who took no action and then I had to make an F1 before anyone even cared

That was on SSRP and this same can be applied to TTT as well where some of our staff turn a blind eye on certakn forms of discrimination because they see no issue in it

Fixed some typos inclyding fixing the 4 minutes into stating accurare value of 40 minutes as was my intention from get go
