TOPIC: Regarding my CM promises

It's been almost a week since I was elected as Community Manager, and as multiple people have been asking me for clarity regarding my promises I've decided to make this post that goes deeper into every promise I've made. I will explain to you what the current standing for every promise is, and when you might see it implemented within the community.

Host a Pointshop meeting once every three to four months.

I think this one is relatively logical. One has been held relatively recently, so I'm not planning to host another one anytime soon. But in three or four months, definitely.

Improving transparency between the Community Team and the various staff teams and users.

This is currently actively being worked on within the CM team. Also, as I am sure you're all well aware, I am relatively open about my own opinion on matters and easy to approach about stuff that's going on.

Adding more options for VIP New VIP printers 30 bank + inventory weight Increase the shop weight limit For Pointshop, add a first-time bonus of 10000 points for buying VIP For Pointshop, get 1,3x EXP. For the respective servers: increase level count if necessary For Pointshop, get a special hat to prove to everyone that you’re a great guy that supports the community! For Pointshop, get access to various Pointshop VIP only items, not just auras

So let me start with what is not currently being added: new VIP printers. One of the current work items is to review the SSRP economy. When that has been done, and the upcoming update has been released, I think it is more than fitting to consider more printers, including some for VIP. The last two ideas regarding Pointshop will be brought up in the next Pointshop meeting. So that will take a few months, but will most definitely be done eventually. Regarding the other ideas, you can expect them in the upcoming updates for the respective servers.

Respond to suggestions that are handled in the CM team meeting.

SSRP Suggestions will be responded to when handled in the meetings.

Improve the servers and follow up on some of the community's demands. You can read the specific details regarding this on my application.

TTT has already gotten two owners, an owner for Bhop is actively being looked for, there is a Server Developer for Deathrun and I am actively speaking to the respective Server Owners regarding their servers and their ideas.

[SSRP] Set up a Map Test Team.

As I have stated here, we are currently not considering this particular change. However we will explore this idea further in the future.

[SSRP] Track staff's Time on Duty as well as F1 count.

This will be implemented in the next update.

Add a Jailbreak server.

This is currently actively being worked on and the server will hopefully launch soon.

Add the 'Equal Accountability and Protection Policy'

This policy is currently being reworked to be more effective and more fitting for the community.

Keep the Lead Team Applications unlocked.

There were quite a few arguments as to why this would be a horrible idea, and I think that at least one of them is pertinent. Basically with this there will be more Lead Team applications, up to the point where you will have to go through a lot of applications when the Lead Team decides to review them. The later applications on the powerpoint would not be as properly considered as the earlier ones. This would be a detrimental result of this policy. Instead of this we're going to take another action. To ensure that all Lead Team applicants understand why they're denied for the rank, a brief outcome would be posted on their application. It would follow a different template than the regular denial template. It is also more descriptive than the regular denial reasons, to ensure that the applicant knows what to work on. I believe this is a better change to make than the one I originally planned.

I don’t see how that’s an easy fix as the server doesn’t choose the price of items the community does. The only way the server could regulate the price is if they flood the market with suit lowering the price that way

I’m fairly certain that’s how it is now. And the reason prices are so high

If it were for many people to have suits, it'd mean making starting players competent and balancing many other items and props, and for things not to go south it'd mean chute would have to add many other stuff in order to balance the progression system, since being a suit god with many of them to rip seems to be an end goal for most people.
