Its really upsetting and irratating because parents start feeling less safe and start worrying about their kids ESPECIALLY on halloween when kids are everywhere. 8 people dead in ny and people go nuts its awful yes but theres kids out there dying every minute, women being stoned to death, gay people being thrown off roves and people turn a fucking blind eye to sick african children dying but the second 8 people in ny die its a huge thing hypocrites... I like you Stewie and I get what you're trying to say, but you just come off like a jaded cynic with a comment like that. Death is very much part of life so are the tragedies that follow, but because they are so normalized globally does not mean we should be apathetic towards them. What makes events like this garner the attention they do is the media coverage they receive. It is one thing to know people all across the world are dying, it is another to have a direct source allowing us to see the result of careless abandonment by others. For better or worse, different areas of the world have varied expectations for how life is to operate and when an act so heinous goes against our idea of what life should be, it is going to shock and jar those and they should not be chided for showing the emotion that follow.

All of the terrorist attacks are just completely baffling in my opinion. They gain nothing but more satisfaction when it is showed around the world on the news and innocent people are killed which is what really gets me upset. I also have friends in real life who get seriously concerned about going into public places after this stuff happens, it is completely unnecessary.
