There's definitely something wrong with the fact that in game when you shoot someone 5 times in the head, the server thinks differently and they don't die.

Take this with a grain of salt since i heard this about a year ago from a tryhard that knows literally everything about gmod, but its something to do with the engine gmod uses i think. I remember him saying something that the hitbox lags behind the actual playermodel, thats why you can hit most playermodels perfectly fine while theyre standing still but not when theyre jumping around and shit. Idk not too sure tho

Yeah it's called tickrate (measured in how many times a second the hitbox refreshes (pretty sure it's around like 16 on SSRP 1 hence why you can't hit shit when people are jumping around)). But there's definitely somethin wrong with not being able to kill someone standing still.

The hitboxes are completly broken shoot someone in the head with scope boost and psg 10 times isn't fun.

When people say hitboxes, I think it's noteworthy to keep in mind that it's the fact that you can shoot people in the chest, but they only lose 5 health, because it registers as an arm hit hence the tickrate being slow. A fix to this could possible make arm hits deal as much dmg as chest hits? That way fights are less rng based, as you can hit people in 5 times and they lose 20 health, and on the other hand you can get 1 tapped yourself

This isn't a solution because :
1. Sometimes the server is less laggy, meaning you have to shoot directly on them
2. Sometimes the server is laggy, meaning you have to shoot a bit behind them

Even tho you aim a cm behind them, and you hit them, it can still register as an arm hit, dealing 5 damage.
