My garrys mod has been crashing alot recently and i've tried my best to fix it, but nothing seems to help. i've tried verifying my game cache, setting the dxlevel to 9.5, uninstalling and reinstalling. Gmod likes crashing when you join or disconnect from servers, it's just the way stuff is currently. I'd recommend removing some addons on as it does decrease the amount of stuff that has to be remounted. Gmod likes crashing when you join or disconnect from servers, it's just the way stuff is currently. I'd recommend removing some addons on as it does decrease the amount of stuff that has to be remounted. I'm not sure that's necessary. The current source engine is made to run on very modest hardware, however; lua overhead from gmod does eat a lot of resources (especially bad code.)

Instead of going out and buying a new machine that would run the game well; you could save $450 and just clean out your folder.
