I noticed that the rule for mugging in the mines (dupe or not) isn't defined clearly enough to stop attempted raids.
"2.7 FearRP - - Mugging: You may not mug for more than 4k RP CASH. If under Fear-RP, you can not refuse this if you have the money, and you can not kill your mugger once they are finished with you. You can't mug more than 3 times over the course of an hour; When mugging you are only allowed to do it in a place that you can't be seen or is not visited by many people. You also can mug people anywhere if no one is in that area; sheltered and private., and properly role-played in order to avert powergaming. You can mug with a melee weapon under the rule that gun beats blade, and you can not mug in the mines". Perhaps altering it to just include raid/mug? Or adding it to the 8.0 Mines section? I know its a small subtle change, but it'll just clarify absolutely no raiding miner's dupes. Thoughts and opinions? |

Literally no harm in making it explicit, because just last week an idiot (i'll post it later, I recorded everything) wanted to mug me while I was mining, saying: "drop your Diamond Pickaxe or die". I shot him, he said "FailRp", came back x10 times trying to kill the miners and when he couldn't enter, he just started prop spamming until we couldn't move.
Every now and then someone goes in the mines and tries to mug. "I honestly dont think there is a need to change this. Its fine as it is", ffs, what would happen if it would be placed there? |

Excellent counter argument, I believe I know exactly what you mean. The minor change wouldn't deter minges, but I think people who are hardcore minges and learn the rules exactly, would try to loophole this. The reason for me bringing it up was because somebody who plays the server a lot said he could raid the dupes. He then proceeded to kill all the afk miners. And as far as I know he was never informed or warned in any way not to do that. I see what you mean though, its not really necessary at all. My senario will likely never happen again. Also it sounds like your mugger was just a newbie minge which happens all the time. No rule change will stop that. |

Here is a perfect example of someone claiming it is not in the rules so it must be fine.
Even though common sense would suggest raiding/mugging go hand in hand with the rule. There are hardcore minges who learn the rules just to loophole them. |
