TOPIC: Whats the point of basing?

I love darkrp for its well, RP and characters and messing around with mates, but I was basing in foto apartments with a full maze, 3 keypads (i.lecoffee.me/zuH i.lecoffee.me/osa) and someone comes outside, loiters a bit we get into a conflict, he comes back with an RPG and with 1 shot all my props are fucked up and he gets straight in? Like? What? Less than a minute it lasted. I don't get it how are you viably able to base other than hiding in some stray corner for agers hoping for nobody to find you? Is there any suggestions you can give me for building better bases? With no no-collide, limited models, no wire/RTcam I'm finding it a little difficult.

Build a base with containers which are vert strong props, Join a gang with prop protection. Use morphine and amfetamine and rush the raider to kill him quick. Counter with special weapons, have a friend take turns camping outside and make the raider lose his special weapon

As for the gang thing, I've just come back after several months of playing nothing but CS:GO and not seen them before so I still need to look into them.

I was more aiming at why should I waste the time setting up my base as a new player, just for someone to come with a special weapon and mess it all up, for the newbies may aswell just sit in a corner and cry or hope you can find someone high level to take you under his wing for a while.

You can come on teamspeak some gangs talk on there and ask to base with them make easy cash and later be trusted to apply for their gang on their gang thread!

If you see someone on the server don't worry your safe from being raided

It's discguting I can't believe even raid now I'm broke I was no where near my shot and had 300 health

If you want to solo base, i suggest you to go s3 and hide your base. But basing with a gang in a big place is better.
