This is based of a post by PieCrafted referring to natural disasters and such. I quite liked the idea and decided to change it around a bit.
Server Name: SSRP Darkrp Server 1 - 2
Suggestion Title: Inheritance / Insurance
How would it benefit the server: Read additional notes for full information
Potential Issues/Exploits: Read additional notes
Additional notes:
So i will present for you 3 concepts for my suggestion here so you understand all different variations of this suggestion. Also all issues and problems will be discussed here. There might be balancing problems of different sorts with this so do not hesitate to post your alteration to it below.
Variant A: Insurance agent job, limit of 2 at one time. They have rights to build in order to construct some sort of office. For example if X is planning a raid and is sure that he will die he can pay a price to the insurance agent that automatically insures everything he has equipped at this moment. For 10 minutes this will last, it can be made cool using the /write command as well, to make it seem that a contract has been signed. If during the 10 minutes he dies he can retrieve the items he insured from the insurance agent. The insurance agent keeps the insurance fee. If during the 10 minutes the person doesn't die, X is forced to pay an additional fee for ''wasting time''. This would be a VIP job.
On the other hand this could be a very popular job since there are no money drawbacks, maybe to balance that they would have to pay taxes instead of receiving money from the paycheck lady. So if no one insures with them they end up gradually loosing money. Which adds some sort of risk to the job.
Another addition, also as i said to involve /write, the agent would keep the contracts in safe, and if he is raided and they are stolen he basically loses a large sum of money.
Variant B: Inheritance. This is much more simple it works like this: if the server crashes the person you are roleplaying as basically dies and when you rejoin you start a new life. However instead of /refund, he would get only some of the items back or even more depending on how successful his ancestor was (the ancestor is you but before the crash)
Might be very unbalanced.
Variant C: Insurance NPC, instead of it being the player it would work in the exact same fashion as the job. Paying a fee to back up your items.
To balance it out after each insurance you can only use it again 1 hour later.
In my opinion all of these would be very hard to interpret into the server.
Hope you enjoy by suggestion.
