I don't understand why Zarp has changed the map to quite frankly a bad over sized downtown. I liked the old map as it had a proper cave for the miners, a expansive sewer system that could be used to hide in and get quickly from A to B (Plus I actually had to worry about mutants!), shops and warehouses in places that made sense plus the spacing on the map was generally good. Now the server runs an over sized downtown map that is too big and too sparse and lacks the sewers and mines that made the old map great!

I know that ZARPRP2 runs the map but your lucky if you get more that 30 people on. It's a shame because I thought the old map was one of the best RP maps I have played on and now ZARP is darting between maps every few months. I appreciate they are trying to vary it up but nothing beats the old map. Much like nothing on CS beats Dust II.

Surley if more people felt the same they would play on server 2. Right?

Well Usually no matter what map the server is playing the #1 server will get more players that the #2 server. KDG is the exception but they run the same map and when they stopped the split the player-base so badly they had to do a 180 plus server #2 is probably popular due to the sheer amount of bans and kicks they hand out.. It's player mentality that they would join #1 not #2 possible down to the thought of a lack of mods and serious rpers.

I am personally sick of downtown and want a bit of variety that's what made the old map so great. It was different. Why is KDG one of the most popular RP servers? Simple they play something that wasn't downtown. When they didn't player numbers dropped. Same with ZARP as I remember when they changed the map peak player numbers were 70 if they were lucky. When bloc42 was played the server was packed in the evening. Why they changed the map was beyond me.

In my opinion we should have townsend_v2 on server 2 without the explosive weapons...(I was even working on a v3 with a bigger PD and such too). Many people like to RP in that map, and they just loved to make those huge bases without getting exploded.

This way we can make server 1 different than server 2 to suit the tastes of players. We can get also get more players who don't like to play and base on ZARP back. Anyways, I hope that the servers' style of play is made different by doing what I just suggested...

Townsend had a few problems with it though. To start it was FAR to big to get around on foot sure it is a good map but it feels far to sparse like a car is compulsory to have fun and if you just joined the server....well can you afford to buy let alone rent a car??? Plus the train tunnels were pointless and could be exploited pretty badly by building bases in the pitch black. It was a good map don't get me wrong but like the current map is suffers from size issues and a lack of a proper sewers and spacing issues. Just not as bad as the mutilated downtown map the server currently runs.

Plus I still belive the #1 server should run bloc42 as that was a very popular map.
