TOPIC: The Duchy ~ Gang Thread

Hello, and welcome to the official home of The Duchy.

Hello! And welcome to the home of The Duchy! I am your Duke, Scorpion. Now, lets get some things straight right off the bat.

Q: I thought you were in the Fourth Empire
A: Yes I am. But Progenic doesn't really care about it anymore, so I am making my own gang, and when I come back, I am immediately going to leave the Fourth Empire, and start this gang.

Q: Why not join another gang?
A: Because I think I am ready for my own gang, after 13 years of managing things and becoming a Strategical genius on Crusader Kings I and II, I think I can manage my own gang.

Q: Why not join the Brotherhood or Harpers if you don't like the Fourth Empire any longer?
A: Because I am trying something new. Also I can just ally with them.

Q: You are really weak, how are you going to run this?!
A: Easy there... I am just taking this slowly. Even the best things need time to be made. Like Half-Life 3 for example.

Q: This is your first ever gang. No way that this is ever going to be a strong gang.
A: It isn't actually my first ever gang. I already had one for a test 5 months ago.

And that's about it for the Questions. Now for the Intro:

Introduction:

Hello! And welcome to the official home of the Duchy! This will be a medieval styled gang, so there will be a Medieval Council, dukes, counts, earls, mayors, EVERYTHING! This will be a very disciplined gang, so it will be probably one of the best strategical gangs in ZARP history. Anyways, we are getting off topic. Off to the ranks!

Ranks:

Ranks go from the Most Powerful, to the least Powerful. It will determine the power by numbers.

1: The Duchy Leader:
Our Ruler!

Duke: Duke Scorpion

What does the Duke do? He manages EVERYTHING! He also commands EVERYTHING! He determines who is our enemy, who is our ally, what are our taxes, what are our raiding tactics, what are our mugging tactics, and I think you get the point. He also determines who joins.

2: The Duchy Council:
Now, this is a weird one. You see, Anyone can be in the Duchy Council. So could anyone be in the Duchy Council in Ye olde times. But, that does not mean that they are more powerful than direct Vassals of the Duke, if they are not already a direct Vassal of the Duke. For example, A Mayor is a Marshal. But that does not mean that he is more powerful than Counts. It only means that they are the most helpful to the Duke. Just to clear this out. Anyways...

Chancellor: Empty ~ Marshal: Earl Marshal Walrus ~ Steward: Earl Steward Hard ~ Spy Master: Empty ~ Recruiter Master: Empty

What does the Chancellor do? He basically is like a Diplomat. He improves relations with people, and gangs, he makes people or gangs look bad with fabricated claims, and he also makes proposals to other gangs. (For example, The Duchy gives 200K for a player from The Brotherhood)

What does the Marshal do? He and the Duke make tactics for Raiding and Mugging. He trains troops, Recommends to the Duke the Duchy Weaponry (For example: Marshal Bob recommends to the Duke that the Duchy Weaponry would be AK-47's, with Deagles, and for people with explosives, C4 or MILKOR's, the Duke accepts.), and also leads raids.

What does the Steward do? He helps the Duke with the Economy. He and the Duke manage the Taxes and Money in The Duchy.

What does the Spy Master do? He assassinates people all by himself, he spies on enemies, and also he looks if there are traitors in The Duchy.

What does the Recruiter Master do? He introduces all the new people in The Duchy, and learns them the Tactics, Weaponry, and tells them the important members.

How do I become one of the people in The Duchy Council? Every week, all the people online from the Duchy, will have a test to determine who is the best as which job. And all the people that already did a test, cannot do it again unless they ask the Duke, and then if he accepts, only the person that Asked the Duke for the test, can do it. Then the Duke determines who is the best for which job, and that is it.

3: Vassals of the Duke:
These are people commanded by the Duke.

Counts: Infinite Amount of Space available. ~ Everyone Else: Infinite Amount of Space available.

What do Counts do? Counts control little portions of The Duchy. They are called Counties. And all of them must be named by the Count. The rule is: Every County must have 5 Members of the 4th tier of Power max, and all of that is under control under 1 Count. Now let me explain what this means: If we have for example, 7 members in The Duchy (Me, and 6 more people), that means 1 Person will be Count. The person that is elected count will be the person the Duke likes the most, and that Count will take control of the remaining 5 people. And that count must name his County. He must ask the Duke how he wants the County to be named. Once the Duke agrees with the name, then a County is established. Now all the Duke needs to do, is to determine what county will it be? There are 3 Counties. They are: Raiding Counties, Defending Counties, and Printing Counties. Now I will explain what county does what: Raiding Counties just raid, Defending Counties are stationed near the Duke's Base, and defend him. And Printing Counties print money, and distribute it to the entire Duchy. Just one more responsibility that the Counts need to do, and that is: Whenever they log on, they must make their County Base somewhere. Either make it, or save it.

What does Everyone Else do? I will explain it in the 4th and 5th tiers of Power.

4: Vassals of the Counts:
These are people commanded by the Counts.

Earls: Earl Steward Hard, Earl Joe, Earl Patrick, Earl Marshal Walrus, Earl Hitman, ~Infinite Amount of Space available ~ Mayors: Empty ~ Infinite Amount of Space available

What do Earls do? They are the people that defend the Counties

What do Mayors do? There can be only one mayor in a County. He does the same job as a Earl, but he also is the 2nd in Command of the Counts. He is the person that the Duke likes 2nd Best when the Duke is thinking who to choose for Count. They are not the bosses of Earls. They are Earls just with an additional title and responsibility.

IMPORTANT THING: Earls and Mayors can become the ruler of a County by the following reasons:
1: The Count left The Duchy
2: The Count is showing signs of not taking responsability
3: The Earl / Mayor is becoming a better person then the Count.

5: Mercenaries
These Mercenaries are paid Cash to fight for us in Raids.

What do Mercenaries do? They are players that are not in any gang. We can pay those kinds of players to fight with us in raids. We can also convince them to join the Duchy.

Rules:
1: No Traitors.
2: Insulting Members can potentially mean being kicked out of The Duchy.
3: Killing other Duchy members is only allowed if accidentally shot during a raid, or defending a raid.
4: Raiding and Mugging other Duchy Members/Counties is strictly forbidden.
5: Don't be a douche / troll to your teammates.

Punishments for Breaking the Rules:
If Rule No.1 Is broken: Person is Kicked out.
If Rule No.2 Is broken: Disciplinary Action / Person is Kicked out
If Rule No.3 Is broken: 1-4 Killed: Disciplinary Action ~ 5+ Killed: Person is Kicked out.
If Rule No.4 Is broken: Raiding Duchy Teammate: Person is Kicked out ~ Mugging Duchy Teammate: 1-2 Times Mugged: Disciplinary Action / 3+ Times Mugged: Person is Kicked out.
If Rule No.5 Is broken: Trolling Duchy Teammate: Disciplinary Action / Person is Kicked out ~ Being a Douche to Duchy Teammate: Disciplinary Action

As I said before, I think you should pick me because if you do, be sure you earn a loyal member as I'm looking for something fresh and new. Also I will be able to donate 10 times more to the gang and always help in raids if there's need to bomb some enemies. I also ALWAYS defend my mates (even in F1 situations if I think they are right). So yes, it's basically that. Still I must say I am interested on a high rank at the gang (obviously I'll do everything to get it by myself) as the gang seems to be new and I think I'm quite ok like to be something more than a "mercenary".

Taxes now are better. The deadline is every two days at 10 PM on Server 2. So that means in 10:00 PM in Sunday will be the last day you can pay taxes. You can also avoid that day, but then you need to pay double on the next tax day.

Another friend of mines, Niels, is making an application sooner or later.
