ZARP Adminstrator Guide

This guide will contain the following things.
- Short intro to the administrator rank.
- Commands.
- Console commands and useage of them.
- F1’s.
- A Last note.

Short Intro
Hello and welcome to this administration guide for ZARP's Semi Serious Role Play servers one and two. In this guide we will be walking you through the basic new commands, ban commands and how to deal with appeals as well as the new functionality available to you such as no clip.

Commands

- Spectate.
Spectate is something you can use for keeping an eye on people without having to follow them around.
What you simply do is to type “/spectate playername”
This allows you to see/hear what they type, say and see.
You can also fly around with spectate using "/spectate"

When would you use this?
Spectate Is mostly used when you suspect a player of rule breaking.
This could be an RDM reported, but no evidence.

- Godmode
This command should only be used with the out of charicter jobs such as 'Admin on Duty' or 'Mod on duty'.

When would you use this?
You can use godmode while being 'Admin On Duty' or while dealing with a RDM’er who keeps shooting at you.
Or you could use it when checking bases during a raid or checking a players base.

NEVER raid or base while having godmode on

- Jail
Jail is mostly used as a side punishment, say that someone RDM’ed 2 people and hes being very nosey about it, you could warn him and then jail him for 1-10 minutes depending on what he has done.

When would you use this?
As explained above it could be used as an extra punishment for people who have deserves abit extra for bad attitude, or as a replacement for multiple rulebreaks.

- Sethealth
It allows you to set the health on a player, but as we do not have damage logs you will most likely only use this command for events.

When will you use this?
This will mostly be used for Server events such as “Knife War under map with 500 health” or anything alike.
Or it could be used if someone got randomly shot at you would be able to set their health back.

Never use this command to give yourself or others health during actual roleplay!

- Strip weapons
This command will completely remove all weapons that a player is carrying including his physics and gravity gun, keys and camera. This commands will not affect their inventory (Holstered weapons).

When will you use this?
You will use this command for dealing with players that are using weapons that they should not. An example would be a citizen with a large weapon, or a mutant weilding any sort of weapon other than a knife.

- Set Team
This command will allow you to set/force someones job.
When will you use this?
Set Team is a very usefull command, It can be used in a lot of different situations.
It could be used an punishment for an RDA’ing (Random Arresting) Police Officer.
With this command you would be able to set the police officers job to citizen after you have banned him from it.
You would be also be able to help players who have been randomly demoted.
Setting non vip players to vip jobs is not allowed

- Ban/Unban from Job Command
This command can ban/unban a player from an specific job.
When will you use this?
Ban from job.
Say that your dealing with an Police Officer who have just random arrested 3 people, You would be able to use this command to simply ban him from any police job this would stop him from just random arresting more people once your done speaking with him.
Unban from job.
You can use this if someone have been randomly demoted(which automatic bans them from the job) It will allow you to unban them from the job they got demoted from.

- Cloak
This command will make you completely invisible to all players, by typing "/cloak" or by using the 'Cloak' option in the tab menu on your name

When will you use this?
This command should never be used when role playing. Pretending you are a ghost or general misuse will get you a tier warning. You should only use this command for checking bases without interrupting role play or for overseeing role play situations. You could suspect a gang of breaking NLR so you might want to /cloak yourself to watch over them without interrupting.

- Sharingcheck
You can use the sharingcheck command to check if a player is on a alternate account.
You simply click the players name and press the sharingcheck command, followed by YES when it asks if it should ban them(If caught being on ALT).

- Chatmute
Chatmute allows you to stop someone from using the ingame chat.

When would you use this?
You can use it if someone is spamming or if someone is simply causing trouble for others using the ingame chat.

Example:
Some Noob: F**K YOU STUPID MONKEY
Innocent Darling: Woah! What did I do to you?
Some Noob: HAHAHAH YOU SUCK! GO F**K YOURSELF.

- Physics gun / Tool gun
As an admin your physics gun now has added functionality. You will find that you can now pick up other players and move props that do not belong to you. Your tool gun will now work with other players as well.

When should you pick up a player?
You should only pick up a player when dealing with out of character situations such as moving a player that has requested admin assistance to a safe place such as a rooftop or if you decide you would like to pull a player from an role play situation. Say a mutant has stabbed another player at spawn you might want to pull them up and away from the situation to stop them from RDMing more players.

When should you move other players props?
You should never move another players props during role play unless they have given you specific permission to do so. When out of character you might want to move a prop to stop a player prop blocking a base or spawned entities.

As an admin with a tool gun you have effectively been added to every player's buddies list. All tools that are available to you will now work with other players. The tool that you will find yourself using the most is the remover. You should only use this for removing props that are blocking spawned entities or sections of a players base.

- Ban.
This is probably your most powerful command.
The ban command simply disallows a player from joining the server for the amount of time that he have been banned for.
Ban is also your last option in a situation.
Normally you would first ban someone after he have received 4-5 warnings.
Unless it is a MAJOR offense, you never ban instantly.
Here is what I’d classify the general offenses as:

Minor:
RDM
NLR
RDA
CDM
FDA
Propblocking
Harrasing people in OOC
Micspam
Chatspam
Offensive Textscreens
Metagame
Breaks of base rules
Disrespect

Medium:
Propblocking bases.
Several breaks of:
RDM
NLR
RDA
CDM
FDA
Bullying/Serius Harrasment..
Offensive spray
Trolling(depends how much)
Killing AoD/MoD
Disturbing F1
Killing Staff in F1 situation

Major (Mostly Instant ban):
Mass NLR
Mass RDM
Mass FDA
Mass Propblock
Mass CDM
Propspamming
Crashing server
Hacking/scripting
Exploiting
Abusing Bugs
DDoS Threats

Banning a player:
When banning someone you have to firstly explain why they are being banned and you also need to explain where and how they can appeal their unban if they wish to have a chance of being unbanned.

The Unban Appeals
Once you have have banned someone, they might go and make an unban appeal on the forum.

It should look like this when posted:

Name - What is your ingame name? Xhantium
STEAM-ID - What is your STEAM-ID? STEAM_1:0:1234567
Admins name - Who banned you/who might it be?You
Reason - What is/might be the reason that you got banned?Propspam
Server - What server did you get banned from? SSRP 1 or 2
Time - How long were you banned for? Don’t know
Story - What happend? No clue
Proof - Any proof on a video/screenshot that clearly show what happened? No
Extra information - Any thing you think may be relevant to your ban. No

If you’re the banning admin you may respond to the appeal, you are NOT allowed to decide over other administrators bans.

You can either accept or deny it.
If you accept you may put a little sidenote such as “Don’t break rules again”
However if you decide to deny the unban appeal It would be an good idea to put why you have decided to deny it.

You can unban someone ingame by doing "/unban STEAMID"

- Noclip.
Noclip allows you to fly fast and through everything.

When would you use this?
Noclip is allowed using in 2 situations.
- While building.
- While doing F1’s or any other administrative things.
That means you are NOT allowed to noclip into a base to obtain ithems or raid bases.
You can toggle your noclip by pressing the default noclip key which is “V” unless you have binded it to something else.

Console Commands.
- "Rp_unarrest name" – Forces an player to be unarrested
- "Rp_arrest name" – Forces an play to be arrested
- "Rp_unown" – Forces the door your looking at to be unowned.
- "Print_nlr" – Shows all players with NLR on the server.
- "Zarp_freeze" – Freezes all props on the server, use this if server is lagging.

F1’s
You are still obligated to handle F1’s requests, just because you’re an admin it is still your duty to help players
.

A Last Note.
- If caught abusing your powers they will be revoked.
- No being lazy.
- You are not allowed to punish other staff.
- Don’t use ban as an easy way out of things.
- You need to behave professional as always.
- Everything from the moderator guide still counts.
- Admin on duty have the same rules as Mod on duty.
- You can access the ban list by holding down tab- clicking server settings- And then click the unban option there.
- You still need to get your admin training ingame by a superadmin.
