CORRUPT POLICE!

Hi everyone I am looking for suggestions to an on going problem.

Now we all know what its like to be arrested for whatever reason and thrown into jail and then waiting for 120 seconds. It can be very frustrating if you didn't deserve it or it was a random arrest.
There has also been a constant problem with police officers breaking into bases or houses with no warrant and arresting just because!
Now I have been A police Officer, Sas, S.W.A.T a lot of times on DarkRP and I am growning so sick and tired of the rule breaking PD officers.
I am constantly reminding them "You need a warrant!" or "He wants to explain why his wanted so let him do so!"
I have seen people desperately trying to explain (usually guards or gun dealers) that they were just defending their store but Cops just refuse to listen to them because they just want there bonus for arresting them.
"INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY"
Another problem is people on the server being wanted for no reason or a warrant being accepted without the mayor even seeing proof of the situation.
This is role play and people need to understand that.
I believe if there is a possible solution to this problem then it could reduce a lot of F1s so admins can focus on other problems on the server.

This is fantastic that someone finally has mentioned this on the forum, I agree that this is a huge problem for the server. I also believe that the Mayor gets abused if he does not accept warrants almost instantly. For example I played Mayor a few days ago and I told this player that I was not accepting this warrant til I have seen proof. So how does he retaliate? By demoting me. The amount of players on this server that don't actually Roleplay correctly is ridiculous. Players need to realize that Dark RP is all about "what it would be like if it happened in real life". I honestly think the players on ZARP are getting younger and younger each week, and I think they are just not mature enough to understand how this server runs. (Also I think everyone can agree with me that hardly any new players will read the rules, mainly to the fact they are too young and they think that reading the rules is a waste of time) I'm sorry to go on but I just have to agree with this.

The one thing I say to people who complain about arrests regarding self defense is that whatever the person did to defend themselves was still a crime. If someone starts shooting you, and you blow them up: still a crime, and many governments see it this way.

Reasonable force isn't applicable at ZARP, if there was a way to put someone with a knife in a headlock I'd be all for the idea of 'defense' - but for now the only solution I can suggest is that retaliating to a shot is a separate crime, and all different crimes will have different sentence lengths.

It's clearly stated in the rules that this practice is allowed, anyone who reports it is in turn admitting they didn't read the rules.
