As you can see in the Change Log, we have made changes on how damages are dealt by each hitgroup and depending on the weapon and the distance.

Update is live on all servers

Inconsistent sometimes a psg does 5 dmg and sometimes 50

I'd like to have access to the function for damage scaling so that I could test and analyze it in a controlled environment. As for the current feel it seems as if the main thing that is noticeable is a general increase to time to kill and lower damage over all. I feel as if this may have made certain guns even worse than before and I think it needs more changes.

I also think that the "Other Weapons" need to be split up into different categories as SMG, Assault Rifle and Pistol performance would be drastically different due to different projectile speeds and sizes.

Although a nerf to the PSG is welcomed I feel as if the current nerf may be a bit steep since seems to at most deal around half the damage it did before and 1/6 at worst (Numbers not truly accurate).

I also think that an important step in getting the gunplay solid would be to remove the random nature of M9K and have static base damage instead of it being randomly generated.

I do like it, but I think it'd be nicer if assault rifles were made better than snipers if you don't have a scope boost upgrade. That would give the less skilled/poorer people a better chance.

It looks clunky. In FPS games you’re looking for the lowest time to kill - these guns are the best.
It used to be the PSG and SVU. Now looking at the way the game plays everything takes way too long to kill to a level it feels kind of an absurd.
You could be spraying a mug of aug let’s say, hitting most of your bullets and the guy still wouldn’t die, Yet sometimes you double tap someone with an AK. Overall looks really inconsistent.

First thing that comes to my head after seeing these big M9K nerfs (time to kill is way longer) is that it encourages people to just use tguns / m202s / gluons / gamma rifles / mini 2s in fights that should be purly normal rifles just because time to kill takes so long and it pisses you off.

What are the distances with sniper rifles/shotguns?
Also is L85 in the sniper category or is it others?

Though I have to say the direction of somewhat reworking the way the hitboxes and damage is nixe and gives the server a refresh.

Bump, I and others have noticed some weapons are in need of a buff so we would like to hear you have to say about particular M9K weapons and what can be done to make it a better weapon, we do not plan on changing much with sniper rifles at close range as we feel like it is a better idea to use assault rifles, SMGs etc at close-mid range fights but we are always open to look into changing things

This should clear up some confusion about time to kill being longer in this update, the time to kill on all weapons bar snipers at close range is far far quicker, it may seem otherwise but this would be a placebo effect.

From this update most weapons receive a significant buff and new game play reasons to use different weapon classes have been introduced.
Shotguns are now much better for close quarters combat because they do x1 damage in all hitboxes or 1.2 at close range.
Rifles and pistols now do much higher damage in all other hitboxes where previously they only did 0.5 unless you managed to get a headshot.
Snipers still deal x2 damage to the head, but do less at very close ranges to encourage people not to use this class of weapon where it would not realistically be used and to introduce new gameplay measures.

To add onto this there is obviously some tweaking to do, I have tested with a couple of rifles and I do think that they have been kinda drowned out however the other weapons still seem to do a lot of damage and these damage changes have helped a lot.

Can we change the psg to possibly mid range. I believe this should be considered due to the chance mid range should be classed as 1 district in length which is ample for the psg. I believe this change is required because it is extremely RARE to get into what is classed as a long range gun fight.
