I feel like I'm playing the same game as I did in 2017. Perhaps that's not a bad thing in the eyes of the ones who play the server, but personally there are a lot of things I don't understand.
I don't get why:
- there still is no end game content.
- we got 2 planes of existence through different kinds of
scope boosts and suits, and if you don't have either you're bound to be stat checked by your enemies.
- With every new release it seems to appeal to the already high end players, giving them access to even bigger toys that further power creeps and increases the gap between new and experienced player.
- Only the most powerful players on the server is capable of launching a nuke/robbing the bank and thus obtain expensive items, and therefore they put the price for newer players on these items.
- Raiding somebody's base grants no personal reward
I can understand the whole purpose of the server is to gradually increase in power, and form strong connections with the other players on the server, and that's fine I like that. But the server hardly ever gets any new players, because there's no way for them to start off.
Just as an example, my own personal when I started on the server long ago with a friend was to make a base in warehouse district, put down my precious emerald printer and then proceed to get obliterated by M202 within 3 minutes of making that base.
I've attempted to get many of my friends to join Zarp with me, but nobody sticks around because of the early stomp and massive money requirement to even be relevant.
