The Zarp Issue
This post is about to address a very important issue that concerns all of the Zarp Community.
edit: game, instead of gam As you've all seen recently, more and more community problems surface, ranging from phishing attempts that endanger Steam Accounts with hundreds of dollars invested in them, to personal attacks on disabilities. I've seen a huge increase of reports regarding personal attacks and I consider that UNACCEPTABLE. Values That Represent Zarp When anyone is doing this kind of conversation, we need to talk about the values that represent zarp. My very humble opinion is that Zarp is a "trip" of some sorts, one "trip" that is made up from healthy competition, gang rivalry and in-game friends you make along the way. All of this is fun and games of course, only because of one value: trust. When I talk about trust withing the community, I'm talking about trusting fellow community members to be honest, straight like an arrow, with anyone and if there would be a feud, it would be solved solely in-game, maybe with insults that are strictly about the in-game character, all with the intention of banter and a little bit of salt. Any personal attack that undermines these values is intolerable. Nobody logs into Zarp to get attacked and feel legitimately bad. This is NOT okay. If people were to shit on this value which keeps the community tight together, the server would eventually die or lose much of it's 'magic' and uniqueness. Let this article be a reminder that we're all brothers and sisters in-game and we would want the best for each other because it is beneficial for everyone. Thank you for reading. |

To be honest with you mate, regardless of who does it, we have forum staff and staff in game. There are reasons why we have support threads/ the F1 system. We will always support members of our community, I agree what happens is wrong but if they don't report it what can we do? If it's over steam there's a simple button that can prevent it all and it says "block all communication" So really if someone's "attacking" you then it's up to you to report it so that we can take care of it. We are a community but without the effort of the victim, what can we do? If we don't witness it we can't do much.

Wise words, But anyone who gets offended on the internet from someone's words should get off right away. And no we're not all brothers and sisters in game, I wouldnt consider some dickheads in this community close to me, Nor would I trust them.

The problem starts from the staff team.
Some people say the staff team has problems and others outright deny it or excuse the staff team for the lack of proof on a case, but many staff members are downright excused even if a demote request has been made; more than often, the promises made on the post reply are not fulfilled (a good example would be me, as the post said I'd be getting a talk-to ,but that never came). Staff members are excused simply because they are staff and everyday users instead aren't, simply because they are not in a position of power. Imo, staff members should be treated harsher and if they're caught lying or abusing powers on purpose (this could be flexible to a degree) it should be an instant demote. Users should be more fearful of the staff team as well, because other than the fact that characterizing half of the moderator team as trash would be a compliment, the overall look is seen as meek for a good reason( I know people with 20 to 30 warns without a ban and they've had reached over 15 recents in an interval).
