TOPIC: The Bhop rant

The new bhop gamemode is shit and it broke the fun of the server for me. The old one was perfect in comparison with this pile of crap.

Firstly, at the time of writing this, bhop is broken. I’m not sure if any map has a spawn box / finish line set. If you want to reset your timer you must manually type !r every time you die, but again, why would you even have to reset your timer since there is no fucking finish line. Also the air acceleration and gravity feel changed in a bad way, they don’t feel so fluid anymore, but I’m not sure about this one.

Secondly, the wr bots are gone, yeah, you can’t watch good people finish the map now and learn something from them, you can’t feel like a god when you have a wr bot recorded and watched by people.

Thirdly, the !p (Practice) and /unreal modes are gone. Practice was incredibly useful for players that didn’t know the map to a point where they feel comfortable with it. Unreal was pretty fun and people did struggle to get records and good times for that mode as well.

When is Bhop coming out of early access?

Disclamer: Yes, I understand that this was to fix the lag but it broke so many things to a point where lag doesn’t even matter anymore. Please, please understand that this is just my opinion on the recent change, I'm not trying to flame anyone or something like that.

Old gamemode was laggy and broken as well, most of the commands didn't work. There's nearly 300 Maps and Myself and Granny are going through all of them and adding zones and adding points. The gamemode will stay for now, there's a bug report and suggestions thread in this section for a reason. There's a gamemode being worked on now by another developer that we are planning to add in the distant future.

No shit all of that stuff is gone, its a different gamemode not a bug nor is it broken.
