why is it the players responsibility to figure out which game mechanics are intentional and which are not?

Also Oxy wait it out IMO, you knew it was exploiting and still did it nonetheless. There is simply no excuse for your selfless actions.

Oxy didn't know and as a player I don't think he should be expected to know. If it's a server issue then refund and inform the players that it's an exploit and ban them next time. If the damage is easily fixed and its not blatant exploits like duplication or god mode then I think it should always be treated like this.
