Good day to you Stewart!

To begin with, I'd advice against lying in half of your appeal. You were presented with the facts multiple times and you chose against cooperation, which resulted in a permanent ban for refusing to refund a Printer Suit under the concurrent circumstances.

Now, to me it almost seems like you haven't grasped the reality of the situation at all, intentionally may I even suggest considering your server experience as both a user and an ex-staff member, so i'll try to make it really hard for you to misinterpet something about this case even more.

  • Defending a RP House is not a thing due to the fact that it’s prohibited to raid one to begin with.

  • The RP House you claimed was automaticly voided due to the fact that it already had non-allowed entities in it, which is the immediate contradiction to your own "basing inside my rp house" thesis.

  • Owning the main doors while non-allies base inside is perfectly normal, and you have every right to evict by force or not in the proper job, before setting your RP House rules.

  • And lastly, I apologize for not appealing to your calls for help during the r bombs, as I was more focused to the incident at hand and this felt insignificant at the time.

As Clarky mentioned you are more than welcome to make a report against a staff member if you feel like there was misconduct, but you can also report the player(s) who used such foul language, and that is if you are indeed focused in the act itself like you claim to be instead of an alleged attempt to "dethrone" staff that are simply doing their job.

Okay so going off that I should be punished for putting down an rp house sign. I still owned the building therefore anyone in there is in my property, I gave a chance for people to leave but due to them being afk I killed em. In the future I will take more care in placing an rp house sign which it seems you are focusing on. I will fully accept my warning for placing an rp house sign down! However I still owned the main building and did give a chance for the afk fella to leave.

Also where did I lie? I didn't break a rule and you ignored me trying to explain myself and tried to shake me down for the printer suit

You shouldn't be punished for the rp sign, no. I removed it since you were inbetween negotiations about them leaving right when you went back down to the basement to ask them for a second time.

As I mentioned in my previous reply, telling them to leave and then killing them for not doing so is perfectly valid but only as long as you use the correct job for it instead of calling it "defending my rp house" or however similarily you worded it.
The Hotel Owner rp scenario for killing them did not support this case, simple as that.

There were no shakedowns. Your "defending my hotel" reasoning with my explanation of what you did wrong being repeated over and over again would logically end up with me asking if you were willing to refund the victim of their suit or something of equivalent value.

The handling staff has been given all necessary information, and I stated some facts in this thread as well and that's that.

Best of luck

[SSRP] Ban Appeal - Rabbi Clockwork 2 days 12 hours ago #1432371

Hello Stewie,
I have spoken to the staff member who had made the decision to ban you and tried gaining as much information as I could from their prospective. I also want to create a few exemptions and clarifications here given I have been in this type of scenario quite often in the past from being a regular SSRP player for almost 10 years (sad), because I want this outcome to be the best result for both parties.

I will start with some clarifications;

Rabbi Clockwork wrote:
I went up and bought the doors and popped down an rp house sign. After going into MY building I discovered that their were people PRINTING IN MY HOTEL! I gave them the chance to take their stuff and leave unharmed but they ignored me and continued printing in my hotel so I took measures into my own hands and had no other choice but to kill the scary robot.
So typically when I personally come across something like this, my stance is that it would be completely unreasonable to force people out of their base whilst they had been printing there the entire time, regardless if you just bought the door however I want to also bring up the fact that the doors were owned previously by one of the members who were basing there until a server restart had been enforced by Donny (more likely due to the 3-day uptime precision loss we all dread to play on), therefore the doors were unowned unintentionally but really should've been rebought as they are no longer owned upon restart.

Log of alleged base member initially buying the front doors:
Tue Aug 5 12:34:01 2025 [CHAT] [ZARP] Sinz l kickback (STEAM_0:0:3818233) <Gangster>: /toggleown
Tue Aug 5 12:34:02 2025 [CHAT] [ZARP] Sinz l kickback (STEAM_0:0:3818233) <Gangster>: /toggleown
Log of restart:
Tue Aug 5 16:26:43 2025 Server succesfully shut down.
Tue Aug 5 16:27:02 2025 Gamemode fully loaded, ready to accept connections.
Log of Stewie buying the doors:
Tue Aug 5 22:01:24 2025 [CHAT] Albert Whisker (STEAM_0:1:84015634) <Citizen>: /toggleown
Tue Aug 5 22:01:25 2025 [CHAT] Albert Whisker (STEAM_0:1:84015634) <Citizen>: /toggleown

The base members had a total of 5 hours, 34 minutes, and 23 seconds to repurchase their door but failed to do so, I'm also going to just assume that they had used no props in their defences because people really don't do that nowadays so it wasn't glaringly obvious that people were basing there unless I am wrong, this wouldn't change my outcome regardless. Now given the time they had to repurchase the doors before Stewie had bought them, it's hardly excusable because if it was within a much shorter timespan then I'd be very onboard with the people basing. If you're going to base, at least make an effort to buy the front doors and defend the property in its entirety than auto clicking on a printer shelf, you've probably made your dosh from the lack of risk involved anyways.

He told me its the rule where if you put something down in a building it means you own said building. I was confused and requested which rule this was to which he ignored. I then pointed out rule 4.14a mainly the part where it states "The owner of a property is the person that owns the main door". He told me its the rule where if you put something down in a building it means you own said building. I was confused and requested which rule this was to which he ignored.
Rule 4.14a is exactly what Stewie had copy-pasted from the SSRP rules, whether Donny said what was claimed in the appeal, is unknown because I've had word vs word on that claim.

before you join, zack had already bought a door inside. if you follow the rules you mentioned, that room also belongs to him completely. you have no right to break in without his permission. If the remaining rooms inside are also bought by others, you have no right to enter other people's rooms. you only have the right to use the rooms outside. what you really want is raid. everything you said is just your excuse.
None of the doors inside are applicable, none of you owned the front door for hours after the server restart, amplified chances were given purely from how long you guys had them unowned for.

Unless specifically stated, this is not true. You have all the rights to do what you want within accordance to the rules & defend your own property, albeit that people were already basing inside, there is no wrongdoing in taking action on your own property and always has been this way. Your better course of action would've simply been to use the command /forceunown on the front doors and reclaim have whoever reclaim the front doors of the base because respectfully they were still utilising it anyways.

Regardless of Stewie being the Hotel Owner job, this simply does not change anything, because he owned the front doors and should not be subjected to punishment as I have previously mentioned, the front doors had more than enough time to be rebought. In the future, I strongly suggest this situation is simply handled as reclaiming the front doors and clarifying to the non-basing person attempting to own the property that the server had restarted or someone within their group had disconnected therefore the doors were unintentionally unowned. Forcing people to move their printers and other entities out is unreasonable and retarded logic, this probably wasn't the case in previous situations over the years as there's never been any proper true clarity to this but let's just use our heads for a minute here until we'll maybe propose a change to the rule to permanently rectify such scenarios in the next SSRP meeting.

Regarding the disrespect in the admin sit, if the users were not dealt with appropriately or you feel like the staff member did not do their job properly, you will need to create a separate report for this, I have no evidence nor this being the place to deal with it.

I think I have covered everything to the best of my ability here and the judgment I have made is to unban Stewie from the server without having to refund the printer suit, the punishment will also be removed from their rapsheet. I want everyone to know that you should not be forced to move your stuff out if you have owned the doors initially but you should at the very least make the effort to buy the front doors again after such a timespan as previously mentioned and put down some proper and reinforced defences if you don't want to risk losing any of your stuff, we have props and plenty of items to assist with this. If there are any misconceptions or enquiries anyone wishes to raise in regards to the rule, the outcome or whatever it is related, just message me on Discord, you can find me in the ZARP Discord.
