THE DOWNTOWN_V4_EXL OPTION HAS BEEN CHANGED TO THE FOLLOWING MAP: RP_DOWNTOWN_V4C_DRP_EXT. YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE VERSION WE ARE PLANNING HERE.

Just before you do what your instincts say and pop a vote straight in for your favorite map, you should read the topic which has some information about the maps available for selection. You will NOT be able to change your vote.

ZARP MULTI-DARKRP UPDATE!

Hello!
Now, we're aware we've had a map change not so long ago; but we noticed a significant drop in players from what used to be one of the top 5 servers. We wanted to respond to this as quickly as possible: we have a solution.

The Solution
Our gamemode is being modified to support MySQL. This means that we can have multiple DarkRP servers that have their stats linked (that means money, the stats you find in your F4 menu, staff ranks, bank, etc.).

We will be starting out with 2 DarkRP servers.

The Update
Of course like last time, we want the update to carry some surprises, but we can at last confirm some things you've waited a while for!

The Map Vote
The best solution we're looking for is a server running a small map, and a server running a big map. Hopefully you guys will have the same idea, but if not - the options will still be there for whatever you are looking for. Regardless, our main server is the first map we will be voting for (TOWNSEND WILL BE MOVED TO SERVER 2 FOR THE TIME BEING UNTIL THIS SERVER'S MAP IS SORTED OUT.)

A panel of people from our teamspeak helped to pick out some of the best small/medium maps to go in this poll, and I've also collated some screenshots to give you the idea.

BEWARE: Some maps with the same name are different to the ones we have chosen. Therefore where possible we've made a download link to test the map.

The Choices
NB: Cars are still a possibility on the other maps. If the current ones aren't an option, we may consider going back to the golf carts, or use less intrusive TDM cars.

NB: Some of these maps will probably appear in the new map.

Yeah, this is indeed a difficult vote.

My personal selection is RP_DOWNTOWN_V4_EXL. I have a lot of nostalgia from this map, and I really understand why it was popular. It was nowhere near as bare as the other DOWNTOWN maps, and will still support at least some cars well.

This map did well last time, and I don't see why it wouldn't this time (after all, the only thing dragging us down is the current map.)

By the way, the poll will close either this weekend or next weekend depending on the spread of the votes.

Just to clarify: some users have been concerned about their cars. We will adjust the cars to be suitable to the map that wins, but nothing is confirmed about what will happen to your current cars. We'll probably save which ones you had for future reference, but you'll definitely keep them on server 2 (at least while RP_TOWNSEND_V2 is on there). Some things that the map should have in my opinion: -It should have more houses, like the old map. -It should atleast be a little enjoyable to the people who have not downloaded CSS.
