I've been using the ones you made me on my youtube channel for ages now and I did use it for a good bit on the forums. Sure, I don't usually as everyone had their own styles and stuff

I'd say you've got the resolution, size and general idea down well but it just comes down to small tweaks like the colours for example. For me there's too much variance on the shades of greens and greys, it's probably best to keep several gradients out of one image and save it for either just the text, background or border and it helps create a more coherent image, less busy looking. You can use several gradients but that's when you keep the differences between them quite minimal and it can still work with a decent colour scheme.

The multiple greys, whites and harsh blacks just don't mix well. It's just what layer blend mode you've given those clouds it seems like a hard light or something? Try lightening the green / softening it and changing the overlay on it, and possibly find a pic of clouds that don't look stretched as it seems they've been widened too much to fit over the text and

logo.

But yeah just keep practicing and making them. That's what I use this for, to have fun just making pics and trying to do new ideas each time and you just get better, same with anything you repeat enough times, as long as you keep trying to improve.

Wow, you did not disappoint. Thanks for going out of your habits to share your expertise on my design! I'll definitely use this constructively and get some practice going on.

Thanks! I haven't actually been making any logos or anything like that since I stopped around a year ago. Just the collection of posters I was making a few months ago really: These Posters

I'm just trying to think differently and make the images simpler but also not at the same time: Hard to put into words. Yeah a lot of older work seems shit and average when you look back on it and it's like you just go through different stages naturally almost. It helps after taking a break, actually want to put effort and new ideas into these now! I was getting a little tired and bored of it before which didn't help at all but now enjoy spending time on it, until I get bored again
