I couldn't put my finger on it at first glance but noticed after a couple of minutes that crouching is now instant. Instead of having a nice smooth animation of your screen going lower. How is this beneficial to the server? Every other game mode on Zarp still crouches normally including bhop. Perhaps this is a bug? As it seems too silly to of been purposely implemented.
Problems I have found with this are half visual and half practical:
1. If you bhop and spam crouch your model appears to be slinging up and down at a fast pace. This really is an unfair advantage for the runners as it is a major put off and visual distraction for the deaths. (Also if you have a hat on it can glitch up and down across your screen when you jump crouch), you get like these black parts of the hat quickly whizzing past. It looks weird and just shouldn't be a thing.
2. Before you could generally jump and crouch and get it like 99.999% of the time. But now if you press crouch a measly millisecond before a jump, your screen just bounces right to the floor and you jump a total of like 10 inches. Basically, for a lot of maps that include traps which encourage the use of the crouch jump feature to clear or pass them, it has become just a big nuisance. It's harder to judge and complete crouch jumps overall and I'm not complaining about difficulty. But more so how unnecessary it is.
I know so many people will read this give that sort of
attitude. And I get it But yeah, this is just a suggestion to have crouch jumps back to normal like every other server including Zarp's other ones and how it used to be like 2 weeks ago.
