If you're interested in web development then all you really need is Javascript, HTML & CSS thanks to Node.js
Although if I could go back in time and tell myself what to learn first, It would definitely be c++. Yes, there's an extremely steep learning curve, but the benefits in the long run far outweigh the mental toll at the beginning. I know people that started off with Assembly, but that's too much.
So there's your direct answer: c++ (not c)
Remember, you need to learn how to think first. Once you know how to think, the programming language will simply be a tool for expression of your logical thought process.
