Wtf so regardless of the suggestion getting the majority of no votes, it will still get accepted? Is it not a democratic system?
No.
Then what's the point in creating a poll and making a server that the majority of the community didn't want
I'd much rather you take my question more serious and not be immature
Ok then:
There is a difference between a petition and a democratic vote. For example, the community voting in Para and Tyler for CM was a democratic vote, the UK voting in the General Election was a democratic vote. The purpose of the poll on the thread was not for us to actually decide whether or not it would be accepted, it was to actually get some idea of the NUMBER of people who would like the server within the community, not necessarily proportion. We also know that a lot of people from outside the community would enjoy the server and come along to play, just because they do not vote on the poll does not mean that they will not play it. The poll on the thread was simply a petition, it was to just give us some idea, you voted in Para and Tyler to make the overall decisions with the community team for you, and that is what they did.
A lot of what also has to be taken into account is reasons why people would vote no. A lot of people would base their votes off of their opinions about the relatively quick transition from the Basewars idea, and also how a lot of people think I was "powerhungry". The community team saw the server itself, and they were able to base their decision off of the server, everything that was set up and also what they thought of myself and Luki as members of the community.
