So a player blatantly hacks and expects to get banned for it, but no he gets a kick with a nice "please dont hack again, please", it just promotes people to hack when they lack skill, ie Magik and countless other people.Raeker wrote:
A lot of users don't even know the hacking policy. Why make them decide on something that they know nothing about? Although they might disagree with it, I'd rather make it extremely clear that it's a simple fact that users do not decide how this community is run rather than lie and give them the impression that they do. Currently a lot of people are expecting a change to the hacking policy because Para and Tyler made that poll, yet I can tell you with a very strong certainty that such a change is not planned to happen nor will it ever.Jool wrote:
That's why Zarp policy needs to change. It was a stupid poll to begin with. Users should never have a say in this community's policies. You can suggest changes all you want and the CM team will take a look at it, but in the end it's up to the CM team to accept these changes.rdming with the sole purpose of " ripping " expensive items ought to be punished accordingly. But then again a pole was made over a month ago regarding banning hackers permanently on the first offense that received like 100+ positive votes and nothing seems to be moving so what can we do. You do know that the community is mainly composed of the said user you refuse the right to partake in the community's policy right? I do not say users ought to be the one chosing what and what should not be against the rules all the time. But for such massive issues like hacking, it's understandable that the community feels their right to say something about it especialy considering zarp is probably the ONLY community I've ever seen that doesn't straight up ban hackers. Say about it what you want, but it should be much nicer knowing and understanding the clarity of the situation rather than having the illusion of a lie. Make it a perm ban and a lot less players would even consider this. |

The poll was put up to give the cm team an idea of what the community would like so that when it comes to decision time, they have some place of reference to what the community would like to see. The poll wasn't put up so the community can decide what WILL happen, it was put there to help the cm's with their decision |

What you don't understand is that putting up that poll wasn't a CM team decision. It was Para and Tyler's. And it is simply a fact that letting people decide on a policy when they hardly even understand how the community works is just stupid - that poll should have never been made, as it clearly gave people the wrong idea.MyNameBrokeTOU wrote:

It has literally nothing to do with the original post. |
