Hi Nerdyganii,
We constantly monitor the economy and have daily reports on how the economy is operating and we can tell you it's in very good shape. We control the input and output of all items and we make decisions on values of new items with a data driven approach and this has worked for us very well. No other Garry's Mod server has been operating a functioning economy without resetting it or constantly modifying it for over 6 years as we have been on ZARP.

Alright, if that’s the case how much is a tgun, mini 2, or nuff is now. At an appointment can’t check
What’s your fucking point? The minigun 2 was 400mill and the tgun was 25mill, clearly too overpriced and inaccessible to any new players, you’re making no sense to me right now

There’s two ways that they could fix it in theory. One being just make the items rarer and more expensive so that the items which make zarp unique aren’t accessible to the new, or they could make the items more common, cheaper and more accessible for the starting players. As you seem to know ‘basic economics’ you clearly haven’t analysed the issue in its entirety yet.
Giving everyone a tgun, m202, or mini doesn’t make it more fun for newer players since everyone has one. If I was new and I came into zarp for the first time today, I’d quit it right there
If everyone has a Lamborghini... somehow the Lamborghini doesn’t become special or cool anymore. Especially for the people who originally bought the Lamborghini and are now fucked by new prices

The reason people want to play is because they get to play with these items and can actually compete with them, your logic is that practically no one should have the items, which is massively flawed and just ruins the point of having them in the first place

With your Lamborghini analogy, it’s not the same. As you’re not comparing to other people but other servers. Other servers don’t have a lot of the stuff we have on ZARP, making it unique. And making it more accessible means that new players can actually use the unique content

Yeah, so stop complaining then, the tgun will literally balance out itself from the inevitable amount of rips. 25 mill was extortionate for a tgun and needed to be changed

Again makes no sense, the fact that it happened to begin with without foresight is something to complain about on its own, you obviously don’t know what you’re taking about

the whole point of an economy is that items go up and down in price, the players untimely decide the prices.

Stop going on about basic economics as you don’t seem to understand it yourself. I have literally spoken multiple times with community team members from when I was staff and it is still clearly their motive to make the exclusive zarp content available for new players. There is foresight here and the community team plans for this stuff. Extensive testing goes in to check that the updates won’t ruin the economy and will still provide availability. I cba anymore because your points make 0 sense and your constant reference to some basic economics which you don’t understand is getting really annoying. Just accept that this is planned, if you don’t like it, you’re under no obligation to stay here.

Actually this is correct and shows that the economy is healthy and operating as it should. The prices of items will be higher for rarer items as it would be in a normal economy. As for new players we've introduced a whole host of new ways to get items for free from free daily Card Packs to events and increased cash rewards for in-game actions and Daily Objectives.

In no way was it chute’s intent to screw people over, you should know prices drop substantially during update times and that’s your problem, this is just what needs to happen to make these items more accessible.

Bought a earbuds cosmetic for quite a bit on tf2 and the prices crashed :( This can happen in any game with an economy, not just ZARP

Just because I don’t want everyone to have one doesn’t mean I want nobody to have one. I want a balance
Yeah, so stop complaining then, the tgun will literally balance out itself from the inevitable amount of rips. 25 mill was extortionate for a tgun and needed to be changed

Again makes no sense, the fact that it happened to begin with without foresight is something to complain about on its own, you obviously don’t know what you’re taking about
Stop going on about basic economics as you don’t seem to understand it yourself.
For one thing, just because I don’t like a single update doesn’t mean I don’t want to play
The whole “don’t like it don’t play it” makes zero sense. I’m allowed to have my own opinion on zarp because I care about it. And honestly it makes it even worse that it wasn’t foresight, that means they meant to screw over all of the people who bought it full price.
Bought a earbuds cosmetic for quite a bit on tf2 and the prices crashed :( This can happen in any game with an economy, not just ZARP

And it sucks ass, right?
Something you would n o t want to have, correct?
