ZARP Policies

Communications Ban Policy

This policy highlights the proper way to approach a situation in which a user has been caught severely breaching communication rules, such as harassment, doxxing, threats, or any other malicious conduct.

General Communication Policies

These policies apply to all general conduct when dealing with users who breach the communication rules of the server.

Appropriate Punishments

A communication ban may never be given to a user unless there is clear evidence of wrongdoing that is in accordance with the policies, rules, ethos and the ZARP ToU.

Upon detection of serious communication breaches, users should be punished according to the number of communication offenses the user has. Punishments given out prior to this change will count towards the offenses.

Punishments are as follows:
  • 1st Offense: 2 Week Communication Ban
  • 2nd Offense: 4 Week Communication Ban
  • 3rd Offense: 8 Week Communication Ban
  • 4th Offense and Onward: Community Ban (Permanent)

Communication bans must be voted on and approved by the CM Team during the weekly CM Team meeting.

In the case of an emergency communication ban, the ban may be applied immediately but must still be voted on at the next CM Team meeting for confirmation.

Communication bans will expire naturally after the punishment duration unless an appeal is made and accepted prior to the expiration date.

Appeals to communication bans must be submitted formally and will be handled and voted on by the CM Team at the next available meeting.

You can only appeal your communication ban if you feel the punishment was issued in error or if there is substantial evidence to warrant a reduction.
