You yourself are making things complicated.

Like I said, the leeching rule was never troublesome when I was admin and the staff team handled it like any other rule.
If a new person joins the server, teach him like a staff member should. "Struggling" is where you're over-complicating things.

Bringing back the leeching rule isn't a good idea as there is no point. This is because there a lack of clarity over what the leeching rule is. Some people think it is where you wait for other people to finish the map and purposefully staying alive whereas some think the rule is actually where you are the last person alive and you are delaying the round.

Listen, I won't name names but I've seen people exploiting the fact that it isn't a rule anymore beyond belief. Betting 2500 points (The max amount you can bet) then stand right next to the first trap outside the afk killer, then waiting for the rest of the runner team to win the game for you is really not fun at all. If this were to be added, I'm sure it wouldn't be hard at all to easily "clarify" this rule fully.

I have to agree and that is also what I stated as my definition of leeching is as the are 1 abusing the betting system and also slowing down the round and game for most of the other players especially the bhoppers

I would hope not, as it's up to the staff's discretion to punish players or not. If staff are punishing new users who don't know how to play the gamemode there is a bigger issue at hand than re-implementing this rule.

Thats a dumb ass argument. The whole point of the rules list is to inform new users of what they can and can not do. Just because you guys are to lazzy to bother explaining the rule to someone doesn't mean it shouln't be added. Your main job is to explain the rules to users. So how about you list some actual problems that brining back a rule for this would add. Then I want you to think about that and remeber your a staff memeber. That means if there is some shit that is confusing you about the rule you bring it up to be clarified dont be lazy and just remove it.

I'll assure you I'm not making things complicated. Throughout the whole time I was within Deathrun before the rule was removed, it was never enforced what so ever. If this rule was to come back would need to be under a different definition as, I don't see the point of re-adding it.

Damn emp just went in gg
But I fully agree with u here as long as us as I staff team 1)explain the rule 2)enforce the rule there is no issue in 're adding it and it will allow for smoother rounds to take place

I'm going off from what I saw back when I was a user/mod. If the rule wants to be added I have no issue along as it's under a different meaning. But my issue is, we have no current issues with the rule removed. Not trying to create an argument, simply asking questions. The sole purpose of what I said is due to PAST experience from where I never saw the rule enforced, which was the whole reason for me to suggest it to be removed.
That means if there is some shit that is confusing you about the rule you bring it up to be clarified dont be lazy and just remove it.
That was back then ...

First time hearing of this honestly. I think I worded my shit incorrectly. I've seen more leeching ever since betting was a thing as it gets to the point where they will let everyone do the work for points. I can admit that's where the leech rule would come in handy.

People bet then get scared that they'll lose their points so they leech, pretty easy to catch out the people who are doing so.

//Edit:

-No delaying: Intentionally holding up the round as the last player or group is not allowed an example would be to be the last runner alive and not make an attempt to bait traps, and just wait the round out.

[Editing would preclude any confusion which you're afraid of and won't conflict with the leeching rule.]

//Add:

-Leeching: Not attempting to bait traps (...use sophisticated English here.)

I do not see the point in this rule being re-added, leeching does not effect the game as much as people assume, for 1 there are about atleast 10 people who bhop ahead of everyone and the people who do not know how to bhop would essentially be called out for leeching so it would look bad on newer players who could essentially be punished, in my eyes it is a useless rule and it would have to effect on the server.

The Motd menu with the rules pops up on the players screen automatically when they connect so there should be no excuse for the users not to follow the rules as they're greeted with it when connected and if they have any questions or anything they need to complain about, they should notify us about said issue.

blue - Yes there is plenty of bhoppers on the server, so? It's not like bhoppers couldn't leech also, taken into account small maps or otherwise traps. It won't look bad on newer players and it never has. Last but not least, don't punish them then if they're not leeching.

Like I said before, the leeching rule has never caused issues in the past. All you're giving me is hypothetical nonsense that it will look "bad" on newer players".

purple - I think you need to re-read EMP's post.

I'd like to see this however when the rule was there nobody was getting warned for it and 9/10 staff members didn't care about it.

I don't think you understand what I am saying, people mostly win from bhopping and I am on the server currently and I cannot see anyone leeching. If 2 players are left alive and they do not want to bait the trap that can fall into the delay of round rule, as they're wasting the round by just standing their waiting for another person.
There is really no use for this rule because you cannot fix leeching 100% and it will be hard for staff members to spectate a server with 30+ people to determine who is leeching and who isn't.

No one was warned as we gave verbal and then they started moving etc if not we did eventually proceed to slay but no necessarily warn but I feel it's got out offhand since the betting system and more and more people are doing it
