EMP wrote:Thats a dumb ass argument. The whole point of the rules list is to inform new users of what they can and can not do. Just because you guys are to lazzy to bother explaining the rule to someone doesn't mean it shouln't be added. Your main job is to explain the rules to users. So how about you list some actual problems that brining back a rule for this would add. Then I want you to think about that and remeber your a staff memeber. That means if there is some shit that is confusing you about the rule you bring it up to be clarified dont be lazy and just remove it.
The Motd menu with the rules pops up on the players screen automatically when they connect so there should be no excuse for the users not to follow the rules as they're greeted with it when connected and if they have any questions or anything they need to complain about, they should notify us about said issue.
blue - Yes there is plenty of bhoppers on the server, so? It's not like bhoppers couldn't leech also, taken into account small maps or otherwise traps. It won't look bad on newer players and it never has. Last but not least, don't punish them then if they're not leeching.
Like I said before, the leeching rule has never caused issues in the past. All you're giving me is hypothetical nonsense that it will look "bad" on newer players".
purple - I think you need to re-read EMP's post.
I don't think you understand what I am saying, people mostly win from bhopping and I am on the server currently and I cannot see anyone leeching. If 2 players are left alive and they do not want to bait the trap that can fall into the delay of round rule, as they're wasting the round by just standing their waiting for another person.
There is really no use for this rule because you cannot fix leeching 100% and it will be hard for staff members to spectate a server with 30+ people to determine who is leeching and who isn't.
