Call me naive.

Call me an idiot.

Heck, because I'm away on holiday I don't even know the full story (or stories, for that matter) and have no right to make the claims I'm about to make. I have nothing to base this post on.

Nothing except trust.

Trust that is perhaps misplaced. Trust that should perhaps be broken. Trust that perhaps has been broken.

I don't know, or care. But I do know one thing: our own staff members have been accused of hacking. In my opinion falsely, but once again I have no right to make such a claim.

I simply do not believe something like this could happen twice within the same week.

I trust too much in those staff members to say that. And perhaps it is an actual coincidence and we have simply trusted in the wrong people, but I just don't see it like that.

Like I said: call me naive.

I have nothing to base my story on except for trusting in the good of people, trusting in the good of our own staff members. There is proof out there that shows the exact oposite; that we simply cannot trust our own staff. But I decide to ignore that proof.

...

Perhaps I'm a little too naive at times.

Either way, if I'm right and our staff haven't been hacking but have instead been framed - which, although more unlikely, is what I personally decide to believe - then I can only ask the following of our staff:

Ensure your account is safe and secure.

Change your password to something that can't be easily guessed. Do it in a different language that isn't English if you have to, and if you can't remember the password then make sure it's written down and not somewhere on your computer.

Make sure you're using the Mobile Guard Authenticator. This ensures that your phone is requored to log in - although there are some tricky ways to get around the method. Also make sure that your e-mail has a different password - once again secure - from your Steam account.

Perhaps I'm trusting in the wrong people here, but I don't care - securing your account is always helpful, no matter what situation.

My account is now hacked. If I my account goes on and abuses it isn't me.

Most secure passwords are something such as a bunch of random words put together, hardest for a bot to guess.

I semi-suggested that when I was talking about using a different language that isn't English. My own password (which I'll quickly change now for the xtra security) is a whole bunch of Dutch words that make no sense together but that I can easily remember myself.

A VPN is something that changes your ip adress when enabled. You logged onto the server with the exact same ip as every other time meaning it was you. There is no such VPN that can change an ip adress to whatever you desire.

or, for stuff like steam passwords that you don't have to type often, get your usual password and stick it in here:
