You don't need to be rich to think the economy is broken.
If it was broken wouldnt he have more than 300m? Thats solid evidence that its not that broken.
I believe Mfbraz is referencing to how hard it is for new players to get started with all the rich people and their suits, special weapons etc. The economy has inflated since I first joined in 2014 However I don't believe it has become overly expensive for items either. It's about finding the perfect balance

It's not. Maybe he's not trying to make money? Maybe he's just moderating the server.

Tyler Durden wrote:
The economy isn't suffering from inflation, there's just a lot of people gaining a lot of money with nothing to spend it on. Inflation would propose that the items would be rising in price as a result of the currency not being valued as much but that isn't the case as items currently remain around the same price margin regardless of people getting richer.

Even in the case of the economy being inflated it wouldn't really have an impact as most of the big issues that arise due to inflation in real cases are not applicable at all to a fictional game currency.

Almost every item has gone up in price, the only reason why rpg and other explosives stay the same price, is because uranium is so easy to get, and once again, afk mining steel.
Literally every other item except that is a crazy amount, suits, miniguns 2.0's, special printers, these are items that only go up in price because of inflation. The problem is that new players have no chance of obtaining these good items, unless they spend some irl $$$.
The main problem is inflation fucks over new players, as money has less value, they'll have a rough start. And since inflation exists in Zarp, you will have less people basing, as you see in server 1, there is never anyone basing. I play for 5+ hours, and I stumble across 0 bases, I hop onto server 2, and I stumble upon 20 afk miners and 0 bases. This is obviously a problem as rp is dying out. If we keep going down this path a lot of people are gonna quit. I've never been so bored in Zarp before as I am in this current state, and believe me I've been playing zarp for around 4 years, and it's been great fun.

A change needs to happen imo. Optic made a great suggestion about it also, you could change server 2 into a new Zarp, where everything is reset, this will push the players afk mining from server 2 to server 1, making it more rp, aswell as allowing people to start fresh in the new server 2.

- I think a big reason to why basing isn't happening anymore could also be because of the suits.

The value of the currency has gone down because of the amount of it in circulation has gone up. This has caused prices to "go up" but in comparison, everything is a similar price.

Over time, with no real drain on the economy, this was bound to happen, however it's not as much of an issue as it would be in real life, as in real life physical cash becomes useless and the average person can have difficulty investing, but due to the ease of SSRP, this can all be corrected through smart play.

It adds an element of planning for the future to items, as if you got a jugg suit about a month or two after the summer update, they were 80mil or so. If you kept the money, by now you would just have 80mil, but if you bought the item you would have over 200mil.

80mil then = roughly 200mil now

This is why investing smartly is incredibly important to keep up with the rapidly changing economy. It is very similar to the real life economy but on a much bigger, faster scale.

Yes im not rich i said it many times, but while using my regular printers with VIP I print around 6 mil per day(a couple hours of it).

While I made my 6mil people I usually base with made alot more using rare printers.

So they produce more cash, more money goes in circulation, this causes prices to rise.
When I return to zarp i had to start from scratch, and let me tell i notice the prices changes alot.

So in this few words this economical problem is making it hard for new players to make enough money to buy some items. So yes my lack of cash can be a cause of a broken economy since the things I buy skyrocketed in price making me have less money.

Me and Mfbraz where talking about the idea of a reset option within the game that gives benefits upon activation.
The resets could be stacked to gain benefits, Different rewards for reseting with total cash amounts.
20m to 50m: Character Customisation
50m to 100m: Health and damage boost (All weapons)?
100m to 250m: Not decided
250m to 500m: Not decided
500m to 1b: Not decided
It's a idea that is still in development stages hence the lack or rewards for later amounts. We believe this kind of system would give richer players something to spend cash on and give poor players another goal to achieve.
Again this is still in early stages and will probably change entirely but either myself or Mfbraz will make a suggestion post/poll about it when it is thought through and completed.
EDIT: Upgrades from reset would be stacked with each level. Resetting at 500m would get all upgrades from 25m, 50m, 100m, and 250m with it's own set also/

I do remember this conversation, but while thinking about this topic today I was reminded how Incremental Games make you reset everything in turn of boosts. And since no one really wants to get taxed here is a few more ideas.
Here is my update on this topic:

First Reset - Money needed - 50mil : Unlocks the gun permit, meaning you can carry any gun, but no explosives.

Second Reset - Money needed - 100mil :Unlocks the Black Market Gun Dealer, This job roll lets you sell guns from the m9k that aren't available to the other gun dealers classes and the guns that are. (Maybe even FAS:S2 with the customization options)

Third Reset - Money needed - 250m:
Unlocks "The Overseas Connection" is a set of daily missions that if completed with success will give players rare weapons or a Super Charged Uranium, please note that this missions will be extremely or at least mildly difficult.

Example: Arrest 5 wanted criminals with a bounty of over 10,000$ without dying.

Fourth Reset - Money needed - 500m: Unlocks the job "The Scammer", this character would be able to buy dummy rare printers, his function in game would be to try and scam people(since its legal to do so). When people buy a rare printer from this guy and place the printer on the ground a random small prop would be spawn instead. He could change his job title and wear an outfit for increase chances of scamming.

Fifth Reset - Money needed - 1b: You have done it, you reach the highest of highest levels amongst us, you are now part of the Continentals(yes i stole this shift from John wick.), with this rank you unlock the Continental Coin Printer, this printer prints Continental coins that can be used in a secret shop inside of zarp. This shop will sell items that arent available to anyone else and cant be traded. Continental coins can be given and sold.

It's been the same for ages it's not broken as such it's just where as other servers price things at 100k zarp used millions which is more unique, imagine how boring zarp would be if it copied every other server this is why zarp is so popular, you can't price brand new suits for like 1m they have to be 100's of millions to make them unique and give a wow factor!

The reason we have special printers is for playing to print and make more money. I am pretty sure you can afford an iridium printer and base with it for some profit.

Thats the point of the gamemode. You either risk it and make profit or you lose.
