The economy isn't suffering from inflation, there's just a lot of people gaining a lot of money with nothing to spend it on. Inflation would propose that the items would be rising in price as a result of the currency not being valued as much but that isn't the case as items currently remain around the same price margin regardless of people getting richer.
Even in the case of the economy being inflated it wouldn't really have an impact as most of the big issues that arise due to inflation in real cases are not applicable at all to a fictional game currency.
Me and Mfbraz where talking about the idea of a reset option within the game that gives benefits upon activation.
The resets could be stacked to gain benefits, Different rewards for reseting with total cash amounts.
20m to 50m: Character Customisation
50m to 100m: Health and damage boost (All weapons)?
100m to 250m: Not decided
250m to 500m: Not decided
500m to 1b: Not decided
It's a idea that is still in development stages hence the lack or rewards for later amounts. We believe this kind of system would give richer players something to spend cash on and give poor players another goal to achieve.
Again this is still in early stages and will probably change entirely but either myself or Mfbraz will make a suggestion post/poll about it when it is thought through and completed.
EDIT: Upgrades from reset would be stacked with each level. Resetting at 500m would get all upgrades from 25m, 50m, 100m, and 250m with it's own set also/
I do remember this conversation, but while thinking about this topic today I was reminded how Incremental Games make you reset everything in turn of boosts. And since no one really wants to get taxed here is a few more ideas.
Here is my update on this topic:
First Reset - Money needed - 50mil : Unlocks the gun permit, meaning you can carry any gun, but no explosives.
Second Reset - Money needed - 100mil :Unlocks the Black Market Gun Dealer, This job roll lets you sell guns from the m9k that aren't available to the other gun dealers classes and the guns that are. (Maybe even FAS:S2 with the customization options)
Third Reset - Money needed - 250m: Unlocks "The Overseas Connection" is a set of daily missions that if completed with success will give players rare weapons or a Super Charged Uranium, please note that this missions will be extremely or at least mildly difficult.
Example: Arrest 5 wanted criminals with a bounty of over 10,000$ without dying.
Fourth Reset - Money needed - 500m: Unlocks the job "The Scammer", this character would be able to buy dummy rare printers, his function in game would be to try and scam people(since its legal to do so). When people buy a rare printer from this guy and place the printer on the ground a random small prop would be spawn instead. He could change his job title and wear an outfit for increase chances of scamming.
Fifth Reset - Money needed - 1b: You have done it, you reach the highest of highest levels amongst us, you are now part of the Continentals(yes i stole this shift from John wick.), with this rank you unlock the Continental Coin Printer, this printer prints Continental coins that can be used in a secret shop inside of zarp. This shop will sell items that arent available to anyone else and cant be traded. Continental coins can be given and sold.
