When you are playing and you get killed you wont look at damage logs to see who killed you, you will just look at chat and see his name.

yeah I think so - also surely in the report thing it would say 'killer' next to the person who actually killed you; even then if someone reports the wrong person then they can be informed that they were being doppelganged
