Now before I begin, there was one suggestion posted about a Buy Order a while back, but that was just forgotten about and it revolved around the auction house.
Server Name:
SSRP (All servers)
Suggestion Title:
Buy Order
How would it benefit the server:
Would make buying and selling a lot less of a hassle, as the name suggests a player would be able to set up a buy order in ones "Shop Checkout" (Simply means that
I will buy X item for Y Price, there is no negotiation.)
Additional Info:
A player will be able to set a "buy order" in their shop, I will explain step-by-step below.
1) Player A opens their shop and then opens the "buy order" tab.
2) Player A opens the list of items and selects one he want to buy (Now I understand there may be some trouble coding this as there is no real list of items in the game currently available to the player but it should be overcome by simply entering the "item id" and a little reference picture to avoid confusion)
3) After Player A has selected his items he will select the quantity he wants to buy (Should be to a very high number for items that come in large quantities (Such as gems etc.)) and for what price (per item) [The player will have the ability to choose how much money he is willing to spend on each buy order, eg I want to buy 999999999 gems (as many as I can) but then I don't do the math and instead I say I will spend a max of 50m on them (Much like the current "escrow" in the auction house). This will stop players inventories being completely drained as a result of setting an "infinite" number on the buy order]
4) After this, the player would have to confirm their buy order and it will be "activated" once the shop is open and will be "de-activated" once the shop is closed.
Should be a max number of active buy orders, possibly 3 just to nerf it.
5) The player would have control over which buy orders are active and will be able to edit them with ease.
6) Upon the shop disappearing (from a job change) the buy orders will be cleared.
Potential Issues/Exploits:
None that I can really think of other than there being some bugs with it, more-or-less server side issues.
Additional notes:
Personally, I believe that this will cut down on spam as well (People spamming "Buying X items for Y Price!").
But I also do realize there would have to some balancing as well, just to stop people relying more on AFKing as a shop owner.
And there may also be a need to alter the current window for shops, either inserting adding in its own tab or creating its own tab in the F4 menu (Much like the shops).
