My experience with Discord is beyond terrible to be honest, to me it does not seem like the servers are stable at all, and sometimes i just bugs out where the person you are speaking to just can't hear you or the other way around, i might have just been unlucky who knows. Me myself would prefer Teamspeak over Discord
I'm running the Linux Canary version and everything works fine. Canary as in "The first ones to know of bugs". I've had little issues. I've had more issues with Teamspeak then Discord. While there might be some issues, they're quick to resolve issues if reported and they're open to suggestions. Something teamspeak is pretty shit at.

We have Teamspeak, why make the move to something when we already have something that's working, I don't see this working.
In the words of EMP
Teamspeak is hard to have permissions for and hard to write bots for
If we had a Discord server we could have Auto VIP ranks, A gang system that allowed members of a gang to join a channel no problem, and many MANY other features.
Teamspeak works for voice, it does the job. Discord provides a better text communication system, a voice system AND the ability to extend those as far as possible with bots and webhooks.

I cannot understand discord at all....
Imagine skype crossed with IRC crossed with Teamspeak.
It has text channels where you can talk to everyone on the server, voice channels where you can talk to everyone in the channel. As opposed to teamspeak where text is restricted to everyone in the channel at that time (Discord can also restrict access to certain channels)
