Suggestion Title: Changing cop rule

How would it benefit the server: Easier for mods & admins to understand

Potential Issues/Exploits: Not really

Additional notes: I'm going to keep this sort considering my last post might have been hard to understand but the rule clearly states that There should always be an attempt to arrest a suspect unless; the suspect is resisting arrest or engaging in combat..

You may ask, but what difference does this make? It makes all of the difference considering 90% of the kills are thiefs vs cops and for that the rules needs to be as fair as possible. The rule should either be dealth with fairly or completley erased since it has no other function other than confusing people.

And how would deal with it fairly ?:

In all honesty, this would make the experience when playing as a cop much worse than it currently is.
Wanted people will just be able to kill you you when you are "near" them.

It really wouldn't, if anything it would lead to even more RDM, then the culprit could just claim the cop was "near" him.

If you near bank and they are near pd shooting or have wanted signs you should be allowed to shoot them, you have 0 chance running up to a group of 4 wanted gangsters with psgs to arrest.

As for why that rule is there it's there because of people thinking it acceptable to shoot any cop if they're wanted causing situations where a cop would get sniped by someone saying "I was wanted". Still if what you're saying was true and the person you killed was chasing trying to arrest you the kill was fine. If he wasn't you should've roleplayed it with /me in order to get him to leave or abide to your commands.

Seems like the issue is with how you think these rules work not the rules themselves.

It is risky but it doesn't mean it's allowed within our rules. You are risking your life that's why you should be prepared for gun fire; if he has a gun out but isn't firing you don't have a reason to kill him. Also that's why you can make people wanted, to taze them when you shouldn't shoot them.

Also You're saying You should be prepared for gun fire, How though? If you have a taser out You're not ready for gun fire. If he has a gun out And hes wanted you have to Take into considiration that You're also Risking a Innocent Civillian's life. In the rules the Law Enforcment Units Are told to "Keep the Streets Free of crime" And "They dont have to ask why people are wanted". If the suspect has a Gun out and He started Evading arrest You're allowed to shoot him. Waiting for him to Fire is a dumb Idea as You might get yourself or someone else killed. If there is a opportunity To arrest him Then go for it Weather it be You Catching him off guard Or Somehow managing To arrest him. But If he is looking right at you With a gun Then You have a valid reason to shoot him, You can arrest but its risky and You're Better off By Just shooting him.
