Server Name: SSRP 1 & 2

Suggestion Title: Bring Rule 2.7 Job Abuse back!

How would it benefit the server: As we know the rule Job Abuse has been removed. I think it should not be removed and it only should be changed
Original Rule:
2.7 Job Abuse - You may not switch jobs in order to instantly gain an advantage that you did not previously have
(I.E. Seeing that a player has a hit switching to hitman and killing).
You need to wait 5 mins before switching jobs
( not including when you first spawn in to the server. )


Should be added back as

2.7 Job Abuse - You may not switch jobs in less then 5mins in order to gain any RP advantage that you did not previously have. You may switch jobs any time until you weight 5mins till you use it to you RP advantage
(I.E. Seeing that a player has a hit switching to hitman and killing).
( not including when you first spawn in to the server. )
(you need to weight 5mins before switching jobs or you can't use the advantages of that job for that time)


It would benefit the server by reducing the job switches which make RP sometimes hard for example you and your friend change to gangster to base then you get a 200k hit on your head he changes job instantly and kills you and you had no chance to react.
It would also benefit by making RP more fair like lets say player x just changes to police, he goes down to the vault to check for any robbers he sees that the vault is empty but there is 5 cases and 500k cash so he changes to thief and robes it

Potential Issues/Exploits: As there was before there was misunderstanding of this rule

Additional notes: my example of the rule is just a rough idea

I will improve this post lot more when I get on my PC

I dunno man. A lot of people, including me, were somewhat concerned about accidentally choosing the wrong class, hoping nobody sees and switching under five minutes, and then suddenly getting warned. I mean, I'm staff, but I still find this a common issue. To say the least, I'm glad the rule was removed and it shouldn't be added back. You also need to give the staff a chance to see how this rule works out.

No verdict until further investigation.

That is an understandable mistake which should not be counted under the job abuse rule. If you haven't used job for its RP purposes then you haven't really broken the job abuse rule. The wording needed to be changed, but I feel that a removal wasn't needed.

Removing the rule will cause a lot of problems , this means someone can place a hit on someone and change to that job and kill them.You'll be seeing this being abused ALOT now that it has been removed.I don't think a removal was necessary , it only needs a bit of rework imo.

I think they should of just removed the 5 min timer thing.

This just means hits are 10x harder to survive

Additionally many other things are now possible due to the removal of this rule:

Cops can change to gangsters mid cop raid and kill the cops to defend their base
It's far easier to self supply
Gangsters can change to cops and backstab their friends in bases
Drug dealers can change to gangsters instantly to raid someone making drugs outside their base
Friend places a hit on you and someone else changes to hitman and instantly kills you

If someone is gonna raid they will raid if they have to wait or not if someone is going to complete a hit again they are gonna do it if there is a wait or not. I believe it could be a good idea to add a rule were cops and hitmen are the only people subject to the rule.

Yeah something like that Max but as I said it should not be removed only changed because it is an important rule for some cases

Look if someone switches to banker accidently than after the job switching time he switches to mething and haven't done anything than it is obvios that it was an accident appart from he changes to gangster drop gang weapons than changes back to thief than that should be job abuse

The rule with a large portion of the staff team has only caused confusion, if it was added back their would be way too many exceptions and it just isn't worth it. At the end of the day, I believe we all are a bit more annoyed by the fact that we have to constantly have been thinking about this rule everytime we wanted to role-play, then we are by getting killed right after a hit is placed on us everyone ten minutes.

While we're at it can we remove the NLR rule because I really think it impedes on my roleplay raids. It's less annoying to be killed by someone coming back than waiting 3 minutes.

While we're at it, can we remove the meta game rule? I think it really impedes on my roleplay. It's less annoying to read a meassage in OOC than be warned!

Can we also remove the raid timer rule!? I think it really isn't worth it. At the end of the day we're far more annoyed at waiting than we are at constant raids!

straight up removing it was a mistake... I will see what i can do. Because this leaves a large amount of room for people to freely abuse all of the jobs and ruin RP for other people

Adding something such as:

2.7 Job abuse - Switching jobs to gain an immediate RP advantage is not allowed.

Would solve most problems. All the staff have to do is apply some common sense when working with the rule.

That would be great, now i see people raiding and when they are gangster they are switching to master thief to crack an keypad and when its done they switch back... Or they are placing hits as gangsters and switch to hitman to kill their own hits..
