TOPIC: [ALL SERVERS] Server Based Game-Time Tracker

Server Name: SSRP 1 & 2, DR 1 & 2, TTT, BHOP

Suggestion Title: Adding in a Server Based Game-Time Tracker

How would it benefit the server: It would give us a non-buggy way to track people's game-time if they're applying for staff or just looking at your own game-time.

Potential Issues/Exploits: More Strain on the server, coding time (maybe).

Additional notes: I've seen people on the server a lot and their Gametracker.com time is very inaccurate, and doesn't count all the time they've been on .

If I'm correct you could make 1 MySQL database than on disconnect adds the time that you were on onto that value then queries it to a database where it's requested and printed in a box on your screen

This poor guy's gametrackers have only 74 minutes on it when he has 5+ hours on the server

A pretty great idea you have here, I can see this definitely benefiting the staff team in many ways, and making our jobs reviewing applications more accurate and cleaner.



I believe this might be somewhat of a hard nut to crack though, might take some time to develop it but it must be surely worth it.

It takes a bit of effort to translate the data to a "dummy-proof" version for regular users. The difference between join and disconnect times should be translated to a "readable" number (or: Microseconds/seconds) and then joined with all the other server records for that specific user. Quite a bit of work, to gain pretty much nothing as you can just use gametracker as a indication. Even if it is inaccurate.

This is a great way to track time other than the buggy gametracker. there is a mod called utime that can do what you're suggesting. it records current session and the session that can be 3 months old. its really helpful.

Never had an issue with gametracker, but from what I've seen quite a lot of other people have had annoying issues with it.

I played on lots of servers and at the top right there is sometimes a time tracker that tells you the weeks, days, hours, minutes and seconds, So you could just take a screenshot for the applications
