These are the rules for the ZARP Gaming Murder server. By playing on the server, you agree to follow all of these rules at all times.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding any of these rules, please contact a server staff member, and if you think any rules should be removed, added or changed, then please make a server suggestion.
1.0 General Information
1.1 - Avatars/Sprays
Emblems/Avatars on steam which may be deemed inappropriate by staff will be punished accordingly. This also applies to sprays in game, examples of this could be "Porn-sprays" etc.
1.1a - In-Game Names
In-game names / Steam names should also remain respectful and follow all rules that apply regarding disrespect and discrimination, and must not be used in an attempt to inpersonate any member of staff / pretend to be staff.
1.2 - Discrimination
Discrimination in any form (sexism, racism, prejudicial remarks) are not permitted on any server.
1.3 - Disrespect
Users of the ZARP community server are to conduct themselves respectfully at all times. This rule is also in relation to rule 1.2
1.4 - Spam/Promotion of non-ZARP services
Spamming is unacceptable; do not repeat messages more than once in a short space of time, make incoherent/useless messages or messages which promote another competitor community/service.
1.5 - Client Side Modification / Hacking
Do not attempt to modify your client to gain an advantage on our server. This includes, but isn't limited to: hacks and scripts.
1.6 - Avoiding Punishment
If you are being addressed by a member, do not leave without their permission to do so. This also includes ban evasion, if you are banned you are not permitted to join the server until the ban expires.
1.7 - Micspam
Spamming the microphone is unacceptable in any format, whether it be screaming, singing, repeating yourself or playing music unless another rule states otherwise.
1.7a - Voice Changers
Voice changers are not allowed within the Murder server.
1.8 - Exploiting
Purposely abusing unintentional game features is prohibited.
1.9 - Ghosting
Speaking through third-party software outside of the game gives players an unfair advantage, should you be speaking to other players inside of your game through, a third-party software, you must not disclose any in-game information. [I.e If you die, who the murderer is etc.]
1.95 - Point Begging
Do not point beg, if caught constantly begging for points you will be warned.
1.96 - Jukebox
1.97 - Web Taunts
Similarly to with the Jukebox, all taunts from the Web Taunts system must follow the ZARP TOU and all other Murder rules. Do not use any taunts that are disrespectful, racist, discriminatory, etc. or anything else that breaks any other rules. This includes anything disruptive (including, but not limited to, loud or high pitched noises)
2.0 Gamemode Rules
2.1 - Exploits
Exploiting any un-intended game features in any way is not allowed. If you find a bug which could be an exploit, report it ASAP.
2.2 - Loopholing
Attempting to get around any rules in any way is strictly forbidden, and will result in punishment.
2.3 - Door Blocking
Do not spam open / close doors or trap people into areas / rooms.
2.4 - Prop Abuse
Do not misuse props in order to propfly / climb to otherwise unreachable areas / prop block or use props in any other way to gain an advantage.
2.5 - Delaying
Do not attempt to carry out the game longer than necessary.
2.6 - False KOS
Do not call a KOS on someone without a valid reason (does not apply for the Murderer, you may attempt to trick players into thinking others are the Murderer). (See rule 2.7)
2.7 - RDM
Do not kill people for no reason. You may only kill someone if you have a valid reason (See rule 2.7, does not apply to the Murderer)
2.8a - Valid KOS Reasons
Here are some examples of the valid KOS reasons within the game mode:
Witnessing them with a knife.
Witnessing them commit a murder.
Acting on a KOS by another player.
Turning themselves in (eg. "I am the Murderer")
If you see them sprinting.
2.8b - Invalid KOS Reasons
Someone is AFK, ask a staff member to move them to spectator mode
1 - Song Titles
1.1 - Prejudice
Song titles should be clean from any discriminatory / prejudicial language and not include any links
1.2 - Relevant
Song titles should be relevant to the actual song (the actual name of the song).
2 - Songs
2.1 - Song content
Songs cannot contain discriminatory / prejudicial words or have distasteful purpose (e.g. discrimination or slander of a person or group), it is advised to have clean versions of songs
2.2 - Earrape
Songs should not contain extremely loud singing or earrape-like singing
2.3 - Audio Versions
It’s preferred to have Audio version of songs rather than Official Videos due to the fact that some contain a storyline that prolongs the actual song.
2.4 - Song Type
The songs must be actual music, not videos or audio clips of genres unrelated to music.
2.5 - Queues
Do not queue songs that break any Jukebox rules. If you are unsure of whether a song breaks rules based on the title alone, do not queue it.
If you feel that you have been wrongly punished for something which is not a rule / linked to a rule on here, you can appeal the punishment in the appeals section, and report a staff member in the report abuse section if you believe that they are abusing their powers.
