trying to fix a aux cable in the car cba explaining here anyone?

Problem is there is a brown wire like wired thru where i should plug it in, the wire in the picture that is where you plug into the stereo and the other end is the AUX.

Prob best to just take pictures of your stereo, the wire, and port you're talking about etc so we can get a better look at it. Depending on the make and year some of us may be able to help.
