Anime People watch anime because it is something that you can atch and enjoy but i can also be something that can inspire you. Anime can also be relateable to your life. It depends. I used to be an anime weeb myself, but I haven't watched an anime for years now.

Some of the anime that I have seen, though, were extremely good. Not all, and if it's not your cup of tea then I wouldn't recommend it either, but some of it is really good.

If you are interested in watching a good anime that's not too long, I'd recommend Death Note. I have only read the manga, but I heard the anime is pretty good too.

If you want something that's good and long, I'd recommend One Piece but its anime s shit. If you like reading, read the manga. If you don't, then don't even bother with it at all.

In the end, anime is a medium - you have good anime and you have bad anime. Whether or not you like the medium as a whole depends on what you are as a person. (my mom can't stand anime because it's too Japanese)

Personally I've stopped bothering with anime, mostly because a lot of it isn't very good. But what is good might just be worth your time, if you're up for it.

Some anime are for kids, some aren't, and some are for the whole family.
Just like our Disney's, Pixar's or Dreamwork's.
You shouldn't hate on anime because you've only seen a glimpse of a harem, or because you think it's only childish shonen lol

to generalize all animes is exactly the same as saying all hollywood movies are shit because you saw Sharknado 2.
