TOPIC: [SSRP Mod] Admin Sits

hi, ive been playing zarp for a good time now and it sucks when you get in an admin sit and they always ask for a proof and i don't have that proof maybe you guys should Find a way to help us i cant record because my fps will drop to 10 and screen shots usually aren't enough please try to find a way to catch these little lairs who always Make excuses and hopefully i wont get abused any more and enjoy rping in zarp

I feel you man, i have the same problem with cretin staff members but since i cant get proof i cant do anything about it :/

It doesnt affect my FPS at all.
And we know these staff members can be stupid. Yesterday, a guy mass rdmd with nitros and the admin didnt punish him it any way. When i rdm'd a kid in front of him, i get punished. Makes sense, doesn't it?

you see if we had damage logs it still wouldnt change anything here as it would still need video evidence as its RP and it means that someone needs to ack things out and so if someone mugs you and u then die it could get flagged to be rdm by damage logs. This is why videos are so important. if your fps is so low i can understand that but you need to find a way to get proof with screenshots and such if you take many screenshots then upload them it acts as if its a video. simple

that will work but the problem that people just suddenly from no where just kill you it happens with me like 3times a week...

It happens too often that some staff don't handle the F1 if you can't provide proof. At the very least bring the accused player, get both sides of the story and make a decision based on that, I feel like a lot of the newer staff aren't being taught that.. I was actualy told by a staff member at the start of a sit "no proof, no point making f1". (This is a small minority of staff members, not all)

We ask for proof if no sides add up dude, They're not any other way around this as then everybody would be getting warned.

Normally I see if the reporter has proof first, if they do then it can be used to see if they lie about the situation when they get brought to a roof. If there's no proof then the sit can still be handled however if one story is different to the other then staff really can't do much about that.

I see what the staff member means, but ALOT of staff don't even bother calling other people to the sit if you have no proof.

It is because the newer generation staff does not feel safe making decisions based on 'logs'. I myself have been in many sits where the first thing I was asked was proof. They don't even speak to the other side, it's very annoying, but maybe it is just how 'new' generation of folks handle this.

Back in the days things weren't like this. People use to do it all based on logs and stories. Might have taken longer, but I still managed a record of 105 sits in 24 hours. I think it's quite good, but sadly it's not like this anymore.

Actually it could be, because how the staff judge is actually based on their own, or if I remember currectly such is 'told/taught' by Zarp lead team. Meaning in more definite speech, that it is up to the individual staff to make individual judgements.
^ My point btw, is that some staff are afraid their actions will lead to a demotion.

If you feel some staff members aren't doing their jobs correctly, Add any of the Lead Team members on Steam, or go onto our TeamSpeak server, and tell them about it. The staff will then have an eye kept on him.

Typical staff member asks for proof and ends F1 so basically if you can't record you're technically being discriminated.

I know that I can be frustrating to be in a sit where you know the other person is in the wrong but they can just make up some bs and you have no evidence to disprove it.
But at the same time leaving it all up to the server would make it unplayable; the lag occasionally gets bad enough but adding more and more thing may help f1s but the lag created as a result would fuck up the server.

As many people have said before, use plays tv... I am able to record on a "ok" laptop at 1080p with a half-decent frame rate.
And I highly recommend making a config for gmod, it really helps on shitter set-ups, and tweaking with your setting and possibly even lowering your resolution will most likely boost fps by 10-20.

Proof is needed because sometimes lies are told then that could lead to people being punished wrongly.

Back in my day, the staff members actually tried to do something even if there was no proof, as in asking the reported players questions, trying to see if they lie, do some detective work etc. etc. Now they all just tp to you and ask if you have proof and if you don't they'll ask the player if they did it or not, and it's up to them to lie or not, if they do, well mate, you are shit out of luck

Just to be clear, proof isn't always needed. First you need both sides of the story, however one of them might not say the truth, which is why we would require proof, as there is a difference in the 2 stories.
