TOPIC: Question - Staff Behavior Punishment

Just a quick question that I've been wondering about for quite some time since arriving back into this community;

For an example, if you witness a Staff Member with at least the title and rank position of Moderator on the server, who would then begin to curse out in an angered manner in OOC, will that person be taken straight to the Lead Team's interrogation? Which might end up in a demotion of the individual.

Way to curious to know how much has actually changed now. If I'm to completely share my personal reason and experience with this question, is that I've been demoted in the past for this, for... Saying something offensive in OOC chat, which I believed was just the single "Fuck you" comment that is so commonly used now. This seemed to be on the high level of being strictly forbidden. Right now, I would see at some points Staff Members being only warned perhaps or some alike punishments in this situation, if spoken out loud in a complete serious and angered mood.

So how is it right now to date about this?

The user/staff member would make a report on the Staff member in question on forums with valid proof and the report would either get accepted or denied by a LT Member. If the reoprt is accepted, the LT member that is handling the report will decide between giving the staff member a talking to bringing it up in the LT meeting every Saturday after 7pm.

Most of the time staff DON'T Get demoted

Contrary to popular belief, staff do not have to be reported on the forums to be put up for demotion. There are plenty of "demote requests" that are handled behind the scenes. This way is actually prefered as it prevents drama.

The only way for someone to be demoted, regardless of how many demote requests there are, is for a Lead Team member to put them up for demotion in the Lead Team meeting. This can be for all manners of things: abuse of power, inactivity, lack of comprehension, attitude, etc.

Theoretically a staff member could mass abuse and still not get demoted if a Lead Team member doesn't bring them up.

It's also a fact that staff are usually given an official warning before being demoted. There are exceptions to this, but usually the staff are given one or more official warnings to warn them that they need to improve on their activity.

You wouldn't have been demoted for saying "fuck you" once in OOC, I feel you're not remembering it all the way and more happened.

I'm certain though that I wasn't really as abusive and offensive back then, as I did love doing my duty and work on the server(s)

But yeah, I guess I'll be the typical memeish dude in-game now
