Looking for some computer help. 8 years 3 weeks ago #315586

So over the remaining part of the year i am planning on upgrading my Gpu (gtx 750 ti) to a ASUS STRIX-GTX970 (www.play-asia.com/asus-strix-gtx970-dc2o...efrcwCFQmNGwodfdYLQg) or a Palit GeForce GTX 970 JetStream (www.palit.biz/palit/vgapro.php?id=2407) ,but i am unsure of what Cpu i should get that isn't going to bottleneck my new gpu. Also would i need a new motherboard? If any of you guys can help me out or point me in the right direction i would be very grateful.

You don't need a new motherboard for a new gpu. You just need to upgrade your psu into something higher. You need a new motherboard if you are getting a new cpu.

New CPU and GPU you might as well get a new computer to be honest. Alright so depending on what new chip you get it could not work on your old mouthed board depending on the model, type, year it was made so that would be the first thing you should look in to. When you get a new motherboard then you probably should upgrade your ram. It's kinda like that song with the bones my something like "my foot bone is connect to my leg bone" anyways just save an extra £2/300 on top of what you're spending on a CPU/GPU and get everything else new.
