Staff Rights and Powers Policy Update
We have dicussed inside the Community team meeting that Headadministrators will now be automatically assigned Forum Staff in their server's section.
New Policy:
Server Owners
Server owners are the highest-ranking people in game, they have the highest authority of their server and are tasked with running and maintaining the servers. There are very few issues that they cannot resolve.
The server owners have the following rights and powers:
- Can handle report abuses against all ranks.
- Access to all meetings relevant to their server.
- Access to the server owners meeting.
- Access to everything in game including rcon access and server options.
- Access to server files and control panel.
- Can add new content to the servers.
- Automatically assigned Forum Staff in their server's section and the Server Issues/Suggestions section after being trained.
- Ability to do anything the previous ranks can do.
Head Administrators
The head administrators are the second highest server rank and can handle most in game situations. They work closely with both the super administrators and will assist the community team with resolving major issues within the community. Head administrators are also just like super administrators tasked with managing the staff teams on the servers.
The head administrators have the following rights and powers:
- Access to all in game commands.
- Access to a more advanced anti-cheat command.
- Can give access to all in game ranks.
- Can train moderators, administrators, super admins and head administrators.
- Can give permission to administrators to train new staff under head admin supervision.
- Can overrule punishments given out by super admins or lower
- Can issue emergency demotions without a vote.
- Can attend the head administrator meeting.
- Can vote on promotions of head administrators.
- Can vote on the demotion of moderators, administrators, super admins and head administrators.
- Can give permission to Ex-Administrators to apply straight to admin.
- Automatically assigned Forum Staff in their server's section.
- Ability to do anything the previous ranks can do.
Super Administrators
The super administrator teams are tasked with managing administrators and moderators on the servers whilst still helping with in game situations. They work closely with the head administrator team and are good people to go to with any questions regarding the servers.
The super administrators have the following rights and powers:
- Access to even more advanced commands.
- Access to anti-cheat commands.
- Can issue emergency demotions without a vote.
- Can give moderator and administrator access.
- Can train moderators and administrators.
- Can attend the super administrator meeting.
- Can vote on the promotion of super administrators.
- Can vote on changing rules.
- Can vote on the demotion administrators and moderators.
- Automatically assigned the Teamspeak/Discord Staff rank after being trained.
- Ability to do anything the previous ranks can do.
Administrators
The administrator teams, just like the moderators are tasked with keeping the server clean of rule breakers and helping the players on the servers. The administrators also gain access to more powerful commands compared to the moderators. Administrators and above can ban players.
The administrators have the following rights and powers:
- Access to more advanced commands.
- Can ban users.
- Can no clip.
- Can attend the moderator and administrator meetings.
- Can vote on accepting new admins.
- Ability to do anything the previous ranks can do.
Moderators
The moderator teams are tasked with being on the game servers and making sure that rule breakers are kept at a minimum and helping players with simple in game situations. They have access to basic commands and will rely on the administrators for backup when needed. Moderators cannot ban players.
The moderators have the following rights and powers:
- Access to basic commands.
- Can kick players.
- Can attend moderator meeting.
- Can vote on accepting new moderators.
Staff Responsibilities (All Ranks)
Staff across all ranks have a responsibility to manage and keep up-to date with the operations of their servers. This applies to all ranks including the Community Team, Community Developers, Server Owners, and all other staff ranks. Failure to meet these responsibilities means staff can be raised for a demotion in the relevant meeting.
- Staff should have a minimum playtime of 3 hours on every server on which they hold a rank each week.
- Members which hold a global rank across multiple game servers should have a minimum of 3 hours across any game server each week. OR
- Members which hold a global rank across multiple game servers should have a minimum development time of 3 hours each week. They should be expected to tell the team what they worked on during the Server Owners meeting.
