Yeah I can confirm this glitch happening sometimes on falling tiles. I remember winning an event back in mega wheel week. I fell off my tile while there were still several other peoples on tiles still alive and the game just " stopped " as if it was over. And even tough I was like 8th on the scoreboard I still won it. So this could've happened to him too.
