How would you handle a TS3/Discord appeal?:
I would handle it like I would any other appeal. I would contact the staff member that issued the punishment and speak to them about the situation. I will then look over the situation and see if the punishment is valid and the ban length is a reasonable amount.
If the ban was justified, I would respond with something along these lines:
Hello X. I have looked over the ban appeal and spoken with the staff member in question. I believe in this case the punishment is valid as you broke a rule and were punished for it. You should wait out your ban and read over the TOU in the meantime. Thank you for taking the time to make this appeal but it has been denied.
If the ban was unjust:
Hello X. I have looked over the appeal and spoken to the staff member that banned you and I believe a ban should not have been issued. I have reminded the staff member about the staff ethos so something like this won't happen again in the future. This has been accepted and your ban will be lifted shortly.
Explain some of the administrative features of TS3/Discord and when they're used
appropriately:
Some of the administrative features on Teamspeak are:
-Moving users - With this you can move users across channels. This will be used when moving people into meetings, moving people into spacers for training or private talk, etc.
-Kicking users out of a channel - This kicks them to the AFK lobby. It will be used when a player breaks TOU. This is normally the first punishment given when someone for example mic spams or disrespects another user.
-Kicking user from server - This kicks the player off of the server. Again, this will be used when a player breaks TOU for the second time in most cases.
-Set Server Group - This sets a user to one of the server groups. This will be used when a someone gets accepted as staff or promoted on one of the servers, or when they have resigned. In most cases, the staff member should be given the badge in their training.
-Banning Clients - This will ban a user from the TS server for a set amount of time. This should always be the last punishment given to a user and they should have been given multiple chances to stop breaking TOU before a ban is issued.
Some of the administrative features on Discord are:
-Deleting Messages - This will delete a message. It will be used when a users breaks the TOU in a message they send.
-Moving Users - This will move a user to a selected channel.
-Kick user from server - This kicks the player off of the server. Again, this will be used when a player breaks TOU despite being warned to stop.
-Banning Users- This will ban a user from the Discord server for a set amount of time. This should always be the last punishment given to a user and they should be given multiple chances to stop breaking TOU before a ban is issued.
What would I do different with my new powers? (we recommend around 50 words):
The two major changes this promotion will bring is the ability to train people for TS/Discord & handle appeals/punishment requests. Since I have been apart of the TTT leadteam for a long time now I have lots of experience when it comes to training people for a new rank they are given. Similarly, I have handled many appeals and reports on the forums and I'm familiar with this process and will be able to handle them with ease. Also with this promotion I will gain a lot more responsibility when it comes to managing the TS/Discord staff team. I will need to ensure all staff members are doing their job correctly and aren't misusing their powers in any way.
