Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin:
I've been now moderating for 1 week. Although it isn't much I feel like I could be of more help if I do become admin. Whilst moderating during this week, I've been aware of certain situations (granted that there aren't a lot of rule breakers on the bhop server). I've been communicating with the users a lot more and also asked them for feedback. I've been very friendly overall. Regards my activity, I try my best to at least be on the server an hour a day or even more if possible. All I'm trying to say is that I can handle the extra responsibility that comes when being promoted to Admin.

Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around:
During this week, I've little to no rule-breaking, as I think a lot of users are more respectful to each other and know what and what not to do. But for the sake of the argument, I'll bring up a situation where 2 users where mic spamming constantly, disrespecting me, a staff member, and even the users were complaining. A simple gag/mute did the job. But what if one of them started being racist? I think being able to use the commands granted when becoming Admin, could be helpful when handling racist and discriminating situations. Although a lot of users on bhop don't tend to generally be racist, I think being able to enforce the rule, would be helpful to the community, so as to keep it clean.

If you had to write a letter to train a moderator in between 100-200 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?:
Hi! Congratulations [Player A] on becoming a newly appointed staff member. First and foremost, I'll link you to the staff ethos which is this - zarpgaming.com/index.php/forum/general-d...335-zarp-staff-ethos. Please, read it carefully as all staff members have to abide to it. Secondly, I'm hoping that you do know the rules of the bhop server, as you will be moderating it. Now you'll be granted access to several commands which I will explain right now!

The Kick Command: This command will be mainly used if a player is exploiting the map so as to reach the end. I'd suggest you warn the player, and if he keeps exploiting, you can go ahead and kick him.

The Mute Chat Command: As the name implies, this is used to mute someone on chat. You will mainly use this to mute people who are chat spamming or being racist. Of course a verbal warning can be issued beforehand when someone is chat spamming.

The Freeze and Slay Command: The Freeze command and the Slay command, can go hand in hand together with each other and even with the Ban Command. Both of these commands can be used to stop someone from exploiting, or finish the map because they were exploiting.

The Mute Globally Command: You will use this command, when a user is mic spamming or even utters racist remarks when using his microphone. I recommend issuing a verbal warning first before you gag someone who mic spams.

Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for Cheating, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?
Since I'm the one who made the ban, I'll be able to know how the user behaves and how he was behaving before the ban. I'll be able to make a better decision, and in turn help the user out. Since it is their first ban, I could shorten the length of the ban to a week, since cheating is still something that no player should be doing. But he since he seemed very apologetic, I'll shorten the ban. This is how I would respond:
Since this is your first ban and that you seem very apologetic about the situation, I decided to shorten the ban length to one week. This will help you to focus more on what you did wrong, and hopefully during this time you'll have the chance to read the rules and follow them more consistently. Hopefully when I see you in-game, you will not resort to cheating again!


Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 100 words): Although my activity isn't the best, I am still an active staff member on bhop, and try my best to communicated with the users in general. I know the rules. I'm active on the forums as well, which I think is something important. I might be on teamspeak from time to time, and I could potentially help the staff out even more, if I get promoted. I think I truly deserve this position since I'm trying to work hard on becoming admin, and it shows because of my perseverance. I'm hoping I proved myself to some staff members as I'd like to get to know everyone! Thanks for reading and have a good week!
