TOPIC: [TTT] Chespin abusing Report System

What Did The Staff Member(s) do?:
He threw an incin near where David was standing. It blew up. I called KOS on Chespin, then he murders me and sends a report on me. David then tells me that it was my fault. He slays me and warns me. Mod aboose.

Also, full disclosure, this was near the door to the T-room. Chespin still threw it so that the fire was outside of it, and burned David.

I've already tried my best to explain to you what really happened, but I'll do it one more time.
Chespin threw an incendiary in the Traitor room when no one was around, I was just messing around and stood very close to the doorway, so far that it managed to damage me. You can't kill someone because they threw a nade in a place where only traitors go and some smart individual decided to get themselves killed/damaged.
That grenade was by no means random, and what you did was assume that Chespin wanted to damage me, when that didn't really happen.
Whoever's handling, this is all you need to know.
Also, you really shouldn't have made a staff report on Chespin, all he did was report you for falsely KOSing him, it is I who handled the report and issued the punishment.

That's all well and good...until you read the rules. Under 2.6, valid kos reasons

That grenade landed so the fire was outside of the t-room. I saw Chespin throw it, and it was close enough to damage you. If he's playing games like that, he should expect a kos when someone sees him pull those tricks.

Great, so you're quoting yourself. How, exactly, did you come all the way across the map to be close enough that his grenade caused explosion damage to you? Jokes aside, David just told you what had happened and why this RA is simply unnecessary, considing he is a Super Administrator and has much experience, I think you should listen to him.

edit: it's near enough impossible to throw a grenade in the t room without fire ending up in the doorway (where david was standing, he can confirm this), this is the first time someone has ever been kos'ed for throwing a grenade in a traitor-only area

You're right - It wouldn't be necessary HAD THE INCIN actually exploded inside the T-room. It exploded outside, and the fire was outside the door to it.

That you guys are backing up this behavior and the subsequent punishment of the witness of it is troubling. It's one thing to be fooling around with another player, but another thing entirely when david & chespins games start involving others on the server.

I was standing next to the furnace when I saw Chespin throwing the nade, I was constantly calling his name and was generally being a meme man so yeah I came over and stood very very close to the doorway, no offense, but your arguments make no sense. If I were you, I would've apologized to Chespin by now, considering that 5 people have already told you you dun goofed.

Why should I apologize for you two goofing around? Especially when David shoots back at you, Chespin.

If it had been anyone other than an admin, they'd be treated differently (as in, slain for a nade throw that hurts an inno). Instead, I got slain that round and an additional round for the jokes of David and Chespin.

This wouldn't be that big of a deal...but David punished me for the games that he was playing with Chespin. I didn't see any warning from you two about what you were doing, and you shouldn't punish me for not understanding something that's spelled out in the rules.
