Suggestion Title (What are you Suggesting): Remove Sharing Check Alert
How / why would it benefit the Deathrun server:
- It's annoying and there is no reason to alert all the staff every time
- Removing/changing the censor system would prevent unfair punishments.
Potential Issues/Exploits: Not sure
Additional notes: With the sharing checker, there is an alert that appears for admins everytime somebody uses it saying "Eddie is performing a sharing check on *name*", this prevents me from using it the way I like to use it, which is spam it and select every single person that is online, (on deathrun it would only usually be around 8 people) but that would spam the chat for admins. I and other admins use this technique on the other servers and it causes no issues because it doesn't show that alert every time, and TTT always has way more players online than deathrun. Lets face it you are never going to find a ban evader by occasionally checking a single person, so I like to check the whole server every so often. I really don't understand why that alert is there, and I see no reason why it is necessary for all the staff to know when you are using the sharing check on someone. If there is a reason please let me know and I'll forget this suggestion.
As for the censoring system, it could lead to unfair punishment of users. What I mean by that is, someone that loopholes the n word in chat, would not get censored, and from a few staff members, could get instantly banned. Whereas someone that says the actual full blown word, will get their message censored, and will receive absolutely nothing, because the censoring on deathrun doesn't even go on the rapsheet, so staff never have any idea whether the person said something minor or said something that is mute or for some staff, ban worthy. Therefore we don't punish. I'm fairly sure this is the reason that it got removed from TTT, and the one we had on TTT even showed on the rapsheet, deathrun's doesn't.
No need for removing your first suggestion, it alerts staff if a staff member thinks that someone is using an alt but the second idea is really nice.
