It's not unheard of updates like these receiving negative feedback upon release. Sometimes it simply is a consequence of familiarity with the old system. For instance, people were quite unhappy with the Snapchat UI change, yet after a few weeks had passed and people became familiar with the change the reception completely flipped.

Not to say this is definitively a good update, but this is something that happens a lot when 'controversial' updates like these are released. Anyway, I can assure you that if the negative reception continues, that Uzi and TheXnator are completely fine with reverting the changes, after all they want to do what is the best for the community; for now, simply give it the benefit of the doubt.

People become familiar with it because they have to put up with it to continue doing what they like doing, in terms of deathrun, people shouldn't have to force themselves to put up with a ending that they used to enjoy but no longer do.

it really wasn't very difficult to kill people with death speed and crowbar so now they have death speed and guns what the fuck lol

"pick a different ending" so sacrifice XP because "deaths should have a chance" when they already did in the first place

I understand it's part of the new gamemode but it still makes little to no sense how you guys can defend it in my eyes

I'm not sure about the death speed still being there at the end of the round in this update I need to check that, but the hitreg was fucked for the crowbar so that maybe part of the problem also, but I do not think that a lot of higher up staff had realised this issue due to no one actually bringing light, but then again, deaths still were able to kill runners with their crowbars.

Suggestion Title : Undercover on map changes

How / why would it benefit the Deathrun server: Improves the usage of the undercover feature for lead team members

Potential Issues/Exploits: not sure, but possibly not implementable

Additional notes: So I think it's great that spectator mode now remains after map changes because it was quite frustrating when staff needed to re-fspec people every time the map changed. I thought that if this had been implemented for spectator mode, the same could be done with the undercover feature? If this is possible, it would make the command much more efficient to lead team, as we would not need to run the command every time the map changes (which has now been reduced to only 5 rounds). It pretty much blows your cover every time the map changes by showing you on tab and then says "Eddie has disconnected from the server." when you re-run the command after every map change, which is just inconvenient whenever you are in need of the feature to stay hidden for whatever reason.

This seems more like a bug rather than an extension to the existing functionality. If you are undercover, it should stay that way until you disconnect. I will investigate this but I'll have it added at somepoint.

No this has happened with more than three players in my case.

If there are three or fewer players, perhaps rewards shouldn't be handed out to anyone else but the first player. Otherwise, all the players on the server would be prompted with a reward, which kind of voids the point of a reward in the first place.

@Nikoo, I have to agree, the MOTM addon is quite dated and could use some further attention. I did think of re-making it but it works quite well and wouldn't really require a full overhaul - it's fairly easy to configure the rewards.

@Eddie I have noticed this myself and it's fairly simple to resolve (will go live with the next release).

fov_desired 100 doesn't work cos 90 is the limit... I really want to see the option where you're able to set your fov from 60 to 110.
If that's what you meant I'm supporting this suggestion....But If you wanted to change your fov a little bit higher...
Just change your fov in the gmod settings?
