TOPIC: Message to all Staff members about spectating

Recently I have gotten many reports that staff members are constantly spectating each other.
May I give you all a friendly reminder that you should only ever spectate another staff member, when you suspect the staff member in question of either abusing their powers or breaking rules.

DO not spectate other staff members for the sake of spectating or in the hope they break a rule.
Admins are not supposed to spectate other admins.
The reason admins were given the spectate command is for the purpose of spectating rule breaking users.
The fact you can spectate each other doesn't mean you should spectate each other as staff being.

The reason the lead team constantly spectates the admins and moderators is for the fact of helping staff members improve.
They sit there spectate you and see what things could be done different, in order to help you achieve a better footing in the staff team and helping you become a better admin or moderator.

If you have an issue with a moderator or admin please report it to a lead team member.
The lead team is trained and experienced with these situations so let them take care of it instead.

Thank you for pointing this out Para. I would also point out that it is NOT accepted to spectate a person nuking or basing to locate the nuke. Remember, a CM or CO can see that you spectated and at what time. If you do so, there will be a punnishment.

Am I allowed to spectate new staff members to potentially assist them with the way they handle sits?

I wanted to spread word of this but I guess you beat me to it haha. Remember that we are a TEAM and we work as a TEAM. Instead of reporting each other HELP each other improve. If you see a staff member break a rule/abuse/handle things incorrectly I would recommend, as Para said, contacting a Lead Team member as soon as possible (With proof is possible. This does not mean you should spectate them 24/7 to catch them do something because you want them demoted etc.)

Remember to manage your relations and don't hold grudges as an essential factor of our work is TEAM WORK.

That is one problem that I saw a lot. People would try and get others in trouble and not help each other out.

Para is correct in what he's saying. The staff should get along with one and other not trying to get each other demote this was a big issue in the past and I hope we dont see it again.

Just make sure to spectate all the recently unbanned people, people known for minging, and just, minges.
I don't see the point of spectating staff even if they're abusive, just contact the lead team and let them do the spectating and investigating, surely that's what the lead teams job is?

I remember deathrazor eating popcorn waiting for me/vitx to break a rule, then i proppushed my car cause it was stuck and he recorded it LOL

Agreed... We are a community and the staff members are meant to look after each other for their improvement rather then trying to catch each other out and creating a hostile playing environment.

Bumping this and sticking this temporarily to get the message out there very clearly. I have still seen staff spectating staff and just trying to find each other break rules or abuse. Though you may have a suspicion on a staff member, we would rather you get a lead team member on the case rather than having yourself spectate the staff member unless if it's vital.

We are a staff team, let's not have civil wars against each other and try cooperate together instead.
